What is weird is on MWR when you unlock a "kit"
- which is both selective retextures where it will apply camo to some parts of the gun and not others (vs the old COD4 version of the entire gun getting camoed) - and some are complete remodels like pic related... When you unlock one, it unlocks it for EVERY weapon in that category. This kit makes every single SMG tacticool'd up.

It seems like a lot of work as opposed to just releasing skins / kits for different guns.

Not like they could apply the EXACT same ideology here, but maybe for 10 dollars you get complete remodels of all of a CTU's guns? Every gun in FBI for example gets reworked to have some theme. Maybe wood, or maybe modern style guns. Who knows?

This is the theory for some of the DLC guns they added, because some look crazy futuristic, but the raw quantity of remodels they have released into the game suggests, no, it can't just be reused assets.

I imagine they are focusing so heavily on these things because they are what you see the most. When I pay 15 dollars for that Blackbeard Elite Skin - I don't get to see it. I get to see it in Kill Cams when I die, and on the MVP screen.

Whereas a gun remodel is shown the entire time you are playing, every time you get a kill you see it, teammates will see your world model easily, and if enemies are close enough they'll see it as well (either when they kill you or in kill cams, etc)

Like why would I spend 15 dollars on this sweet ass BB skin when 90% of the time all I get is some weird jungle skin for the SCAR?

I don't actually know for myself if this is 100% true but it's said that the compensator counters horizontal recoil the best of all attachments, which is far and away the biggest RNG of any gun. Vertical climb can be absolute hell with certain guns especially between the first couple of shots like Fuze's AK though, I prefer a muzzle brake on that. Obviously single shot weapons want a muzzle brake.

I mean the very fact we are in a phase of the game that they have elected to call "Operation Health" - stating that the overall health of the game has the top tier priority, they are not worried about anything else and content development has stopped so they can make the best decisions in the interest of the game

They decide to close the ~only window~ accessible to defenders on a side of the building that allows them to defend multiple objectives in that building from being attacked on that side. They genuinely thought it was a good idea to fuck up the gameplay on half the map because someone could exploit a shield glitch to shoot at people if they even spawned there.

Like, there is no other conclusion here - Siege will never be fixed. How they didn't do their current fix as the first fix is beyond me. This is amateur hour backed by a Triple A publisher and it's painful.

But if you manage to get past the nade spam the S&D gameplay is so crisp. Weapon handling compared to Siege is just way, way better.

I just need Ubisoft to put a good person in charge of Siege and I'll fall back in love with it. The first thing any sane director would do is re-add the polish map and shove that shit in the game next month - so 3 op's and 2 maps.

All of the results are pointless due to the fact that they only used one (1) sample for every full-auto recoil test, leading to moronic conclusions such as a suppressor reducing recoil more than a flash hider, an actual recoil reducing attachment.
The author chooses attachments which favour reducing vertical recoil rather than horizontal recoil, the latter which cannot be compensated for.
In addition, every single burst fire test is invalid as he chose not to let the recoil reset for each burst, which ignores the most important part of a gun's recoil profile: the first shot recoil.

I believe you've memed yourself. Attackers are the only ones who should be using ACOGs in every situation. Defense ACOGs are more situational.

Defense ACOG is for spawnpeeking, or holding pixel angles/very long range angles.
If you're point defending, and have to worry about multiple potential entry points at fairly close range, (as you often will with a heavy like Doc) the peripheral vision advantage of a 1x will count for more.

As an attacker, you generally won't be defending multiple close range angles all that often, and when breaching you should always know where the person in the room is gonna be because of your drone advantage, so peripheral vision is less important to you.
