Everyone can do lots of damage (besides Parasoul lol) but those characters just do it really quickly.

Big Band for sure. If you start a combo with mediums and end with A-Train into Super, that'll do a good chunk of damage right there. Like 8-10 Hits or so.

That's kinda true for a lot of the cast though. There was that really sick high damage Peacock punish combo using Bella Assist that someone posted earlier.
The first 8 hits did most of the opponent's health bar. Stack enough of those hard hits together and you can get big damage out of anybody.

Generally music falls into two categories for us: environmental and cinematic.
For environmental stuff, we mostly provide art, a story summary for that region, and some keywords. In almost all cases, he's nailed these on the first try. But in the cases where he hasn't, we'll follow up with some references to help guide him towards the feeling we're looking for.

For cinematic / character stuff, which is more emotionally ambiguous and difficult to describe, we start out with reference music, as well as story summaries and keywords.

And for what it's worth, virtually all of the "misses" are still great pieces of music, so we find other uses for them. For example, one track for a particular sequence in the game didn't fit what we were looking for, but made a great general tension / excitment / shit happening track. So we kept that for that purpose, and then provided additional reference to get what we were looking for on the other one.

In addition to this, I walked Kikuta through the entire story over a lovely dinner when I was in Tokyo for TGS last year, so he'd have a sense of what we were looking for. And we also sent over a translated outline of the entire story after that.

He promised that the music at the end would make people cry.

For Ajna's theme in particular, it was always envisioned as being the same theme as the main theme, just as a more personal, quiet take on it. So we started with reference for the main theme, and then once we got that done, we had him prepare the Ajna theme "remix."

I'm gonna go out on a (very loose and completely unbased) limb here and guess it'll be a Majora's Mask type of scenario where these people had died and become spirits or something akin to that, which is when Ajna steps in and absorbs them and become a part of her. They're called Incarnations after all and Dhar is one of the first bosses you face and I doubt he'd be convinced or tricked to join Ajna voluntarily.

To play, I think Painwheel. I think she's a pretty interesting take on a Flight character.
Flight is typically the dominant state to be in for a flight character, but for her you have to be really smart about when you do it,

I hope Double is removed or completely overhauled both gameplaywise and designwise in SG2.

This character is extremely boring and ubiquitous. Double just does the same shit everytime, she's good all of the time. At least Big Band struggles in neutral to make up for his godlike assists.

Multiple vortexes, the most versatile assist in the game, her insane range and ability to pressure the opponent, and THE best DHC in the entire game all bundled up in one character is just way too much.

And the concept of being a fleshy monster is made moot by just being a bunch of reused animations.

She needs more fleshmonster elements, that's all.
I know she consumes others and transforms and whatever but she has more of the transforming than the monsterish theme. When she's actually in motion, it's just a bunch of character swaps, and it's so boring to look at.

Let me just say I really hate Cat Heads. I don't mind spending two meter to be safe, like say SSJ into Lenny as a reversal. Even the DHCs that pressure the opponent even on block like Hatred Install or SBO don't give as much as a reward as Cat Heads does. It's free pressure for no reason, and there's basically no reliable counterplay to it. You get hit by a reversal, that's fair, stop pressing buttons. You block it? Well instead of returning to neutral like every other safe DHC you just get to hold a billion years of pressure. Plus the fact that it does so much chip damage is stupid, AND if you DHC into it at full scaling it's a stupid amount of damage as well.

Oh, and you also get pressure from FULLSCREEN by doing Luger into Cat Heads and just Flesh Stepping your way over to the opponent. What are they going to do, alpha counter out and get hit?

Honestly I'd just get rid of Cat Heads and in return make puddle safe on block.You don't even need to increase the meter cost, as puddle only gives you a conversion if it hits and not "lol i was at a disadvantage before but it's my turn now"

Plus Double doesn't have any terrible matchups. Parasoul hates Peacock, Cerebella hates Painwheel, Big Band hates Robo, Valentine and Parasoul hate each other, but Double doesn't hate anyone because she has the tools to deal with basically every situation. Literally her only downside is "uhh she doesn't have a good overhead lol"

Don't get me wrong, I don't think Double is overpowered or anything, I just hate the tools she has and what it does to the game. EVERYONE runs Double. Band's assists are really good but if you snap him in or once you kill everyone else you're at an advantage more often than not.

Two things I can say with near certainty.

1) If SG2 ever gets made, Double will be in it.

2) She will have Cat Heads as a Super.

Mike wanted to have some moves that allowed oppressive chip like in Marvel 2,
and he'll most likely allow Double to carry those traits.
