That was the only screenshot I took of my first entire run. I took it because I lost the fourth character due to terrible Occultist heals during the second boss fight and then Man at Arms went virtuous and carried me through another two fights finishing the dungeon. That was when I realized for the first time how good the guard/riposte combo can be.

Yeah that is one of the reasons why I took a Man at Arms that run with my Occultist. There was always a chance to roll a low heal which I did a couple times but I wasn't in an urgent need of a heal thankfully. Needed a guard in case things went very wrong. I just wanted that Weakening Curse to neuter that back row priest on the boss fight.

The majority of the time I could put it down to an error on my part where I could have made decisions better or have been better prepared for certain situations. The only real hard to swallow ones are enemies constantly hitting crits. Even that's kind of expected though since I'm playing Stygian torchless.

On second thought, I just realised we sometimes have problems with critters during boss fights.

I'm thinking I should probably invest in a new build that has Frog Curse, and Petrify, and Ice prison.
That should take care of many of the annoyances like the Goblin Gate, or the Minotaur, or the Wraith, or the Demons when they summon small helpers.
