Someone directed me to a YT video saying i should go spear fishing at 63 in ruby sea to farm Eastern Sea Pickles, which cost literally DUST on my server, so if thats useless, then where else is there?

Is there a point at which Direct Hit has diminished returns for a healer? Trying to determine if I should meld it in every slot or not. I've got about 375 points of it right now and my DH rate is up to 2.5-5% from 0%.

I don't think melding for healing matters to me since I am raiding as WHM. And I'll take the straight damage increase over a greater chance of a chance of a proc. The other thing I was thinking about melding was a couple hundred points of SpS because I like slide casting and extra cast speed.

You could always tank/heal if you want a more "demanded" class but you can usually always find a PF or static that needs DPS.

SMN main here, it's pretty fun at 70 but they gutted the class so 50-60 is pretty shitty now

If you like scholar and summoner keep playing them. 9 out of 10 groups will want a happy, skilled player of an unfashionable job versus a mediocre jack of all trades who's constantly bitching about the meta and always switches to play the fotm. If you want to try something else, try something else. IMO your goal if you want to raid is to become proficient with ALL jobs within a given role or sub role, so you want to be a healer player rather than a scholar player, or a melee player rather than a samurai player.

Once you get through all the story shit and gear your first job you will have tons of time to level and gear other stuff, so don't stress too much about "going down the wrong path" or that sort of thing.

ERP isn't bad and the chat system is pretty accommodating except for one small (not small) problem where if you push the text limit the client can eat the message, at least in my experience. It's only happened a couple of times in any amount of typing though so I'm not sure maybe I was lagging or something

I typically make my female chars short and have little to no bust but that's because I think it's cute not to have a degenerate trap.

When you're unbalanced on mana, (like if you have 100 white and 50 black) your mana gain is reduced. The exploit comes from the fact that you mana usage is also reduced. So you can do a full melee combo with 100 white and 52 black. Normally you'd need at least 80 of both. Doing it this way lets you get more melee combos in a fight, but I think it's gonna get fixed soon.

Its real, but I don't think many people actually use it. Basically when your mana is too high in one direction it limits your mana generation for the lower of the two. The exploit is that it for some reason also cuts the mana you SPEND. I don't know the specific numbers, but if you do it right you can get faster Merle combos. Not worth investing the time into figuring out imo. No way it sticks around for long.

It is also really tricky, to be honest. The lower mana has to be at 52-54 for it to work. Any lower and you won't have enough mana in general. Any higher and the manas will be balanced after the first attack and the remaining two attacks will cost too much.

Another MCH question even though I don't think anyone else here actually plays one. After the opener the timing on Reload and Wildfire never quite lineup. Reload comes off CD, I get my procs lined up, and then there's still a few seconds before Wildfire is back. So I either use them right away and go into Wildfire without the ideal 323, or I chill for a second or two not doing anything which I assume is an even worse DPS loss. Any of you have this problem? Or a suggestion on what to do about it?
