They can keep the pendulum one of the scales being intergrated into the spell and trap zones, that actually doesn't hurt pendulums nearly as much as killing their revive tactics. Calling out to whoever from last thread said they beat me in LCQs, were you the True Draco player or the Invoked WW Kaiju player?

Also this is the build I was playing, the side deck is what killed me during LCQs, in retrospect I would have sided Ghost Reaper and just had targets in my Extra, because the only threats I had that I could actually side for (since you can't really side for MST/Twin Twisters) were things like Toad, Mechaba, Tornado Dragon and Denglong/Laggia. I was way too heavy on the Timelords, I would have cut them down to 3 Maiden/2 Lazion/2 Zaphion. My 2 loses were to True Draco in Round 3 (didn't draw enough of my draw cards to reload my backrow) and Invoked WW Kaiju in the final round (I think he MST'd me twice G1 and Ash'd a draw card, G2 he sniped my Balance and had two Twin Twisters.) Overall the deck ran great, I shit all over Zoo, Dino and Magicians. I also played my friend's Zoodiac for the 3rd LCQ, was bored out of my mind and lost in Round 3, honestly if I had played Burn I could have done better, everyone was too ready for Zoo.

Anyone else have fun with IRL Yugioh this weekend? I think the highlights this weekend were summoning Heartlandraco for game when I opened both Snow, and getting my Tour Guide signed by Julia herself, for the meme.

I never expect to fucking top anywhere, except locals and maybe Regionals. I just thought Burn had a good chance, and it was something I was honestly enjoy playing, that wouldn't force me to spend money on before inevitable banlists. I don't enjoy playing Zoo, True Draco or Dinos in the slightest so I didn't bother bringing that. Since Nats was mostly Zoo, Burn had a good chance. I just forgot that LCQs were not all the Zoo players, and that I'd be facing Rogueshit which I wasn't ready for. Same can be said to Zoo opening a bunch of dead cards, or most decks. You just have to run the right ratios of burn/stall/draw so that, statistically, you open/draw the right amounts of each. That build runs 12 draw cards, that's 1/4th of the deck, statistically you should open at least 1, and at Nats hardly anyone mained Ash so they would often resolve. Then going into games 2/3 you side for if you're going 1st and expecting things like Denko, or going 2nd and expecting Tornado.

Then there's Trickstar.

The Chain Summon combo isn't enough to win games unless they also open another 3 card together.

I don't know why you think that WCQ is some high level tournament that costs $2k just to enter. Have you ever gone to a qualifier before? There is a lot of people who are just going in for fun, since there is a bunch of other events happening at the WCQ, not only the tournament.

It's funny that out of Shaddolls, Nekroz, Satellarknights, Yang Zing, Ritual Beasts, Qliphorts, Infernoids and Zefra, Tellars managed to win Worlds before all these decks got nuked off the face of the planet except Noids since Grass is broken.
