Off the last thread:
"What's the most efficient way to split your army off of one hotkey to multiple based on unit type, e.g., separating spellcasters away from main ball?"
Ctrl clicking the units does separate them and you can slap them on a separate hotkey, but I also want to remove them from the first hotkey.
some guy in the last thread was asking the best way to separate your blob of units by type
so say you've got your whole army on 1 (i.e. you play protoss) and you want your disruptors on 2, press 1 to select your whole army, then on the unit grid, control-click a disruptor now only disruptors are selected then press control-2 to assign them to 2
then press 1 again to select your whole army, this time shift-control-click the disruptor to unselect all the disruptors then control-1 to redefine that control group

Alright, I'll try that. Thanks
legacy archon mode might have introduced a single key to assign to a new group and remove from all other groups at same time now that i think of it maybe check

Question asker here, just hopped into unit tester. With your example, if you control-click disrupters, then press shift-alt-2 instead of control-2 and doing the rest of that process.

Also, alt-2 works probably better now that I'm trying it for single units and replacing, but shift-alt-2 works if you're adding to a hotkey
*yawns*
pretty boring day
That feeling when you requested off for bw remaster~
you blew it facetard

yeah that makes sense—useful change
