I did a calculation against a Genny with 55 HP and 44 RES + Distant Def 3 (i.e. basically the worst thing you can see from tempest that will actually still be able to damage you back), pointing a neutral Olwen with full cav buffs and a Blarblade+ at her.

Genny lives with 7 HP. If you have Goad Cavalry on someone in range, Olwen is +ATK and using the +ATK seal, Olwen is +10, or she fires off a special, Genny dies.

All of these shitters have suboptimal IVs actually, the final map giving Julia a Ninan to nuke is probably how I was able to clear it fast enough in the first place. Mae ends carrying this team pretty hard with perfect positioning being make or break for a lot of damage/doubling thresholds.

And to answer your question. Gauis is basically a better version of Setsuna and for everyone who built a setsuna, they are kind of screwed. Not to mention, Def Ploy naturally works well with Gauis as opposed to Bridelia. The defense debuff can help Gauis reach Bridelia's damage or help a team mate deal more damage.

It's easier because people hated the 4 corners flier map which slowed their turns because the fliers took forever to get to you, and you need dedicated blues and greens because most fliers were blues to begin with. But other wise, it was a manageable map along with all the other TT. Each map were spaced out so you can kit kill enemies. I find the first one to be easier. Then again, for the first 50k of this Tempest Trial, everyone already has Quickpulse which is making killing everything much easier than not having it for the first 50k the first Tempest.

I had Olivia, Michalis, Roderick and Tharja. A red mage is nice to take on the initial green mage and on the green flier, so sanaki is a good choice. I Basically used Roderick to attack and drag back the blue cav and the reds, Michalis tanked when necessary and nuked the blue cav mage with Glowing ember still building the guy pls don't bully. Maybe switch Lucina with Sanaki and have a dancer instead of Sharena? Don't know if your Reinhardt one rounds Celica, rtomebreaker might be an option
