LBG is frequently stronger than HBG now because of pierce elemental internal ammos that can be RFd. Talking MH4U CB SAED damage per shot. Plus every gun gets the benefits of limiter removal without the downsides because of arts, and for LBG the tradeoff for limiter removal was radical, which means it gets two huge benefits (reloading every ammo at once and RF). Combined with a lot of guns having internal buff and recovery ammos, it makes it really nice for playing a support role on the side without hurting your DPS much (since you can just switch ammos and switch back without reloading).

Me neither, someone from here helped me the first time and then I repeated it a few times solo with the high rank amatsu HBG and a peak performance set (also high rank) that I'd made for it. Only got the repel doing that, not the kill, but most of the harder to get materials come from breaks, not carves, anyway. Biggest downside is that it takes thirty five fucking minutes and an entire set of pierce ammo and materials.

Why not do it online? A lot of japs around HR11 grind it for the weapons, which are pretty snazzy for when you get them.

Infinite healing is something everyone cried about because they were casuals that actually used it and then wondered why everyone at their SM was a higher SL than them. I-frames being stat-dependent isn't a gameplay or mechanical flaw, fatrolling will still get you killed mitigating the power of heavy armour (plus physical defence is almost meaningless anyway), the hitboxes in Scholar are a hell of a lot better than even modern MH (or Dark Souls 1 for that matter), and enemy spam has nothing to do with mechanics, it's part of level design and comparable to GQs.

Depends which game. If it's XX, literally everyone uses LS. By which I mean roughly 90% of randoms use it and about 2/3 of those main it, not actually literally everyone. I dunno if that's a japanese thing or just because Brave LS/LS in general is powerful and fun in XX.

If it's 4U, people tend to dislike its LS because it's weak compared to in other iterations and a little more tedious to "maintain." You won't be in good company.

In X everyone is either a casual scrub or a literal asperger who will get mad if you use anything but lance or HBG (even though using lance in the way that makes it so strong online is a super bad idea), and people use pretty much anything and everything, so who cares.

Regardless, the only people who will actually think less of you for LS specifically are redditors that actually believe the outdated FU meme about LS being the most disruptive weapon and just leading to a constant tripfest.

So do I. Sadly the stronger styles in gen/XX lack it, though brave style in XX has a really nice alternate spirit combo to make up for it. Almost every weapon just feels really good to play in 4U, even when they have foibles like LS going straight from red to nothing when red gauge wears off.

I've done it, it's totally doable. Not optimal, and sometimes feels like pulling teeth but doable.

So I used to use only swax but a while back I switched to great sword and it really messed me up on using swax.

I have the last axe before the axe of gia now and because of using gs for months my swax feels like I'm not doing anything

How do I deal with this?

Just the angel parasol can fuck up a huge number of monsters with p. lightning because lightning is the most common weakness. There's even some things you might not think of as having a particular elemental weakness because they seem like such raw-oriented monsters that are really weak to lightning, like tigrex and seregios, and with that LBG you can very easily solo them sub-5-minutes. That's to say nothing about shit like plesioth, akantor and silverlos that is just a huge pain nobody wants to deal with otherwise but melts before the might of the fucking umbrella.

I've heard elemental guns were nerfed in XX but I've yet to see anyone explain how, I haven't really used them much since I've been trying to get good with brave style on a few weaps (since unlike the other styles it's moderately successful at making things feel like a new weapon).

Molten tigrex is a really insufferable hunt with a lot of factors that are difficult to account for and HH is a weak solo weapon, which exacerbates that of course, but more importantly it means even an optimal hunt takes longer, leaving more opportunities to fuck up. Even TA runners have off days and don't always play well, and TAs often come after several attempts if not days or weeks of attempts. Nobody wants to do that with HH.

For more context, CB is often considered the best matchup for M.Nigrex, and unless there's been a new one since I watched, the video submission with the best time on the G3 one with CB has like three obvious mistakes at different points because of mispredicting the monster's actions or mistiming something. CB's not exactly GS, where winning times for monsters that are good matchups for it are literally perfect runs because the skill ceiling is so low, but that's still a bit egregious compared to other monsters.

Also, the third big reason is that it isn't a GQ. GQs got a huge preference for TAs in 4U.

The hame set TDS used in the video that made me aware of the fact this gun was good again (I recall it being used a lot in FU videos), which I shamelessly copied, is thunder atk up, load up, bonus shot and trueshot up, no crit skills even. I'm sure in XX you could fit all of those AND crit skills, though. you can even make some pretty cute sets for it if you play female and have a good enough charm or drop to a lower tier of thunder atk (which two of them did, as did I).

Mine is barrage earring, chaos archbrigandine (the main thing that makes mine cute instead of trashy in both the sense of being slutty and the sense of looking like a pile of garbage), bone guards s, EX brachy coat and esurient leggings R. They dye pretty well and the brachy coat and esurient leggings' dyes glow, so you can make them match the glow of the lightning ammo for maximum style. your mileage may vary depending on talismans though.
