Fighter isn't exactly the cornerstone for balance. They went overboard on force unless for some reason one of the aoe techs being buffed becomes good for single target but it deserved to be nerfed or everything else buffed to its level. Sending force back to early ep3 is a bit harsh though.

Is Wand Gear Element worth taking? 15% chance to inflict status ailment seems like it could be pretty useful if you're not in a full multi-party where everything evaporates on contact.

I just don't know where I'm going to take the points from to take it.

They should do something to make techers synergize with other techers more. Right now techer is at the point where if you have one techer in an MPA, it's a very valuable support, but if you have two techers it's a waste of a player slot. At least multiple rangers can do good DPS as individual players.

Wait a second, if you're casting field and support techs almost exclusively as Techer, wouldn't spending 5 SP maxing Territory PP Save be far better for PP management than wasting 20 points on PP Restore and PP Conversion?

I'm just not sold on putting 20SP into the both of them when I'm already barely using PP. S/D, resta, maybe anti or megiverse, and zondeel. Zanverse on bosses. The only time PP is ever tight for me is when I'm spamming Ilzonde for faster travel or gap closing.

Your reasoning doesn't follow basic logic, if you reduce the contribution of something it does matter, just less. The only difference from solo play is that you are carrying 8.3% of weight this time, in theory. But again it has nothing to do with class balance and the same argument could be used for AFK leeching. If class balance is shit you are gonna see most of your MPA doing nothing until you roll enough Fighters to carry you. Do you want to repeat EP1-3 WB crisis with entire abandoned EQs after WB doesn't appear 30 seconds into the mission?

Your judgement of relevant content is also skewed. LQs are very much relevant and there is even more rematches to come besides Gracia. More importantly looking at general opinions and how much praised was EP3 that finally made a whole handful of class combos be able to compete in the game's content, people very much believe that balance is important and love the feeling of contributing at least a bit.

Also the situation was wholly different and you're just trying to rip off EP3 for no reason. EP3 had horrible problem with the most buffed classes being actually under powered for the game's content. Gunner, Shunka Braver, Ranger for example were very able to solo Luther but Hunter on the other hand just couldn't if I remember correctly. He would simply time out. Add to that the fact that a lot of buffs were made to simply make other PAs/Techs viable because the game was very much going into the direction of single PA wonders, see: DS, Knuckle, Rifle, Shunka Braver, IRU MEGIDO IN TD, holding lances.

The difference is when they toned down those old strats they gave those classes new things in exchange. Bow is straight up being killed, Techer is being given some extra skill points they can't really spend on anything useful and Force bossing is in no way going to be anywhere close to the other classes in ep5. The techs they're buffing are mobbing techs which is the last area Force needed help, they're not going to suddenly be ok with losing 60% of their damage because rabarta got buffed. The only one I will completely concede on is Gu because chain was getting out of hand.

But in the end Gunner ended under powered in EP3 and had to receive several series of buffs before even being good again. They do the same thing EP5 will do, cut the most powerful tool maybe tools of a class and buff everything else which is supposed to add to the variety of the actually viable playstyle. EP3 just did it in a lot of cases by buffs precisely because the state of game was that 90% of PAs were downright useless. There were singular PAs that had just much bigger DPS than everything else and for no bigger reason, and those PAs in some cases were the only thing that was competitive in the content or in some cases weren't (Sword had a fucking Over End with maybe passable damage and other PAs that didn't have the problems of Over End were just weaker, like holy shit Nova had even worse DPS than now and around twice smaller range). Now even Bouncer is able to reasonably easily tackle the solo content Sega throws so it's natural they are adjusting things downwards.

Bow Braver is probably gonna get killed though, but that's not my problem lol. Zanverse nerf is also more of a thing aiming for nerfing MPA damage rather than Techer's, since Sega doesn't count that damage as the caster's.

I just got the silliest idea for a new class.

New class: Rider

Rider generally fights with one weapon, a motorcycle (called a "bike" in-game). Rider has two modes of combat, a "drive mode" and a "pedestrian mode".

Pedestrian mode is the default mode of combat and involves you carrying your bike over your shoulder and attacking enemies by using it like a club. Photon arts include removing its wheels and using them as dual boomerangs. Your bike gear increases as you do damage to enemies and once it reaches max, you can enter drive mode.

Drive mode involves riding the bike itself and is a rider's main source of damage. Naturally, this mode benefits from excellent mobility. Photon arts include wheelies, flips, circling, etc. Using drive mode depletes your gear but it can be maintained by continuously doing damage.
