How are you supposed to use call beyond? It never hits more than 1 or maybe 2. Feels like Kos Parasite explosion is better

Use it for large targets, ideally when they aren't moving too much (like at the end of an attack animation). Lock on to the body, locking on the head will usually make them miss more. Ayysplosion is better if you can do it up close without getting hit, ACB is best used at range. For PvP most people can dodge it, but unlike Ayysplosion it can't be parried.

Parasite explosion is definitely more useful. The only way to use ACB well is to use it from far away and preferably on big bosses so that multiple projectiles hit, and even then you're mostly doing it for stagger potential rather than damage. For example when Watchdog winds up the AoE going into last phase, instead of just waiting it out you can get ACB off safely and potentially stagger him. Good positioning is pretty crucial.

It's pretty much useless in PvP though, aside from surprising people with it in an invasion or whatever.

I don't have a ready-made webm for this but phase 2 is damn near as easy as phase one to just dodge everything laterally. Right works almost as well as left, and the only exceptions are his AoE and the charged super beam.

You guys ever get a problem where pressing the buttons on the controller does nothing, or the inputs are wrong?

Like, I was farming some watchers and inbetween a run I noticed that my camera kept moving after I released the analog.

Sometimes everything seems fine for a little bit, but then suddenly none of the buttons do anything, or the camera is wild, or pressing a directional in a menu moves more than once per press.

It's weird. Just stated happening about 30 minutes ago. I tested it outside of the game too, in the system menus, still happens. Popped in DaS3 to make sure it wasn't just Bloodborne. Even removed/reinserted the Bloodborne disk, restarted the PS4, switched controllers, played offline.

In some ways DS3 is just hideously bad or adopted terrible design choices from DS2.

One of the things that's definitely dragging the experience down in PvE is the overabundance of bonfires which decreases the tension from most areas and makes the levels feel unsatisfying instead of the rewarding feeling you get in Bloodborne when you fight through the level in one go or find a shortcut back to the lamp. In short a lot of the levels that are checkpointed DS2 style don't feel "clever" because either there are no physical shortcuts or there's no point to using them due to bonfire spam.

Rifle spear for me. It's not as cancerous as it once was, but it's not (completely) useless. I like having a bit of reach, and the transformation attack is delicious yet filthy.

It's the only weapon I haven't used extensively. The tricked moveset is pretty cool and even if it's useless having an attached gun is neat but I really hate the untricked moveset. I've always hated From's spears for being nothing but boring ass pokes and this one is no different. Nioh's spears are everything I've ever dreamed of and more <3

I have a few favorites honestly but I'll say Blades of Mercy this time. Using them makes me feel like I'm playing Bloodborne exactly how it was intended to be played. They're so fast and aggressive with beautiful animations and sound effects.

I love cutter and cane because you need to be deliberate with your attacks and you can play the spacing game. Stunlocking enemies from a distance where they can't hit you from is pretty satisfying. It's a nice contrast to weapons that allow a lot of movement like BoM or saif

Mmmm, Rifle Spear. The charge attack is devastating with massive range and way-better-than-you'd-expect tracking. Untricked form is a martial art kind of like the Stake Driver. You just slice things up from all angles with the quickstep attacks. Also the tricked backstep R2 is a favourite, love overhead slams.

I'm actually legitimately confused on the Hunter's Nightmare. Were Ludwig, Maria, and Laurence pulled into the Nightmare in life like our Hunter is? Did their spirits become trapped in the Nightmare once they died in the waking world? The game doesn't really ever tell you Maria dies prior to the Hunter killing her.

Watch the trailer for the dlc, gherman and Maria involved with the Fishing Hamlet massacre. They both found Kos ded on the beach and found the Orphan also ded inside Kos so they cut the cord and experiment the shit outta it.
