You need to grasp an overall image of how CoC modding works where you take 1 big weapon mod and then get a bunch of shit that works with it. My best advice for quick bux is just go around and kill bandits/faction members/mercenaries and sell all their shit, you can get a very good amount from assaulting places like the workshop or the checkpoint
for repairs, yeah, you need a base kit + something that adds a bonus to the %, however most of them are pretty useless/tedious and I just end up repairing them with a technician

Wait hold the fuck up, I'm retarded. All these years I thought Yantar was once a huge Loner base or something until suddenly psi-emissions killed everyone. The way the corpses were littered made me think that people were trying to escape outwards, rather than random adventurers being lured inwards.

There's dozens and dozens of them all throughout the factory, even in the underground areas. There's furniture all over the place, campfires, beds, etc.

Am I honestly the only one that made that assumption?

And shit, imagine the entirety of the factory being completely restored, 40-50 stalkers hanging about at any given time, chatting, keeping busy at the bar, etc.

It's one of the gloomiest, darkest, most desolated places in the entire series. I remember back when I was younger I used to hate it because it actually gave me mild anxiety.

X18 was alright, because while I was creeped out by the entire lab, glued to every corner and peeking cautiously as unexplainable shit happens all around me, I was literally relieved to hear human Spetnaz chatter when you make your way back up. Because it was finally something familiar, even if hostile.

X16 also comforted the player with helicopter pilot chatter and bombing of Yantar by the military as soon as you get out of the lab. And I was similarly relieved when Duty showed up at the bunker. No other game ever made me feel this way when I was younger, and to this day that feeling remains. I just always wanted to see Yantar restored fully as I always envisioned it.

Don't think so. I was able to merge the config files just fine, and they were very different. Unless DoctorX added a whole bunch of stuff between 1.15 and 1.25.

Exoskeleton meant to be a top-of-the-line armor. Which not only means (nearly) perfect protection against physical effects and at least decent against anomalies, but often uniqute upgrades (huge carry weight bonus, health recovery etc.) too.

However, there's a major downside: you can't run in it. Which definitely affects the gameplay in multiple ways and can mean the difference between life and death. Plus it's expensive to maintain, and thus can easily turn out to be a money-sink.

Wow, playing SoC/Stalker for the first time, the combat really sucks dick until you get the yellow-ish AK. I always see people say that once you're past the starting pistol you'll be fine. Fuck no, every weapon before that yellow AK is garbage, and I'm having so much fun now that I've got one (and the spetsnaz upgrade from the stash too). I also just got an enfield, but fuck all ammo. Regardless it's my first experience with a scope in stalker so I'm excited to see whether they're worth it or not.

Is there a good fast travel mod for CoC? I grabbed Immersive Fast Travel and it made it so talking to NPCs crashed my game. I don't have many other mods so I don't know if I can get that to work.

All I really want are the fast travel options from CoP. I liked how you could follow Stalkers to their destination, or travel between specific hubs.

It seems like all of the other fast travel mods for CoC are just jumping to icons from anywhere, which I am not a fan of.
