All of them had either bombs or rockets, so even if they were strike fighters or heavy fighters they were still going for ground targets primarily.

So, yes that would be 6 Ground Strikers with one that died on the runway at the start of the match.

Either way, the match ended with us losing because they basically only had 1 Bomber and had 11 Fighters so they just picked off half them team being on the deck destroying Ground Targets... well trying to destroy.

I've never unlocked Churchill 1, Churchill iii is a hit or miss to people, Churchill vii is one of the tankiest tanks in the game. Crommy 1 is a great flanker and one of my favorite Brit tanks. Just be prepared to carry a lot and still lose most games.

Can anyone compare the specific qualities of the 190 D-9 vs. the D-12/D-13. I'm trying to figure out which one to talisman.

D13 is a premium with the same engine/FM as the d12 but with a mk151 in the nose rather than the mk108

If you have the money, D-13 all the way. Since you won't have to deal with stock syndrome, you'll get a pretty solid plane with an armament that kills and you'll get RP and SL boost.

If not, go for the D-9. The 13mm aren't half bad now and you get 2 Mg 151s and you're at 5.3 so a lot of the times you'll fall in to the 4.3-5.3 bracket which is perfect for preying on American Ground Strikers.

D-12, honestly its too much of a hassle to grind although it might be better with a Talisman to make it go by faster.

The panzers were designed from in the mid-thirties, and at the end of their potential. Installing a larger engine would have required an extensive redesign, to the point where an entirely new design is a more sensible choice. And the T34 came with great engine and phat tracks, so there was little else to do than up-gunning.

also according to Brits, non-wet Shermans weren't any more fire-prone than their own tanks, with about 50% of total writeoffs caused by fire. I know PzIVs were introduced in the mid '30s but they still didnt make any big effort to upgrade the platform in any case (althgouth the PzIV was a good tank in some aspects, mostly in terms of ease of use and reliability) but the Panther still had it's shitty tranny from day 1 until the end of the war. the T34 stayed awful to use, wether when introduced or when phased out.

Firefly is special, it was de facto tank destroyer. British were concerned that Cromwells won't be able to fight new German tanks, and units fielding them will suffer massive losses if attacked by Tiger battalion. Their solution was to attach one "anti-tank tank" to each platoon to supplement its firepower. Regular tank destroyers wouldn't do, because their limitations would drag entire platoon down, it had to be special variant of a tank. Since Challenger was nowhere near done, they redesigned Sherman for the job.

For an improvised design it did job pretty well. British and Canadians were facing Tigers regularly, and often with as disastrus results as command expected, but thanks to 17 pdr packing Firefiles thez could bite back.

As for Americans they weren't really concerned, as they assumed Tank Destroyer units will deter Germans from using their most valuable assets. They were right. While Brits and Canucks took plenty hits from Tigers units, Americans fought them only twice, unless you count immobile Tigers destroyed on trains by Shermans as 3rd encounter.
What made them decide to switch to 76 mm completely was intelligence report that German are ceasing production of Panzer IV (not fully true, one factory produced them almost to end of war), and encounters with Panthers will become more and more frequent.

What ammo should I be running on the Chieftain? I use APDS against Germans and HESH against Russians, but I was thinking about going just HESH, it one shots easier and the only thing it can't pen is a maus, which I never see. Plus I've got the ranging MG.

From my experience its the opposite, give free players down tiers so they think the game is fun and once they get tiered of the grind and pay for premium give them 10+ full uptiers for every other matchup because they got you.
