you have to keep track of your mistakes. so e.g. create a spreadsheet and after each game you note your champ, w/l, kda, cs, the three biggest mistakes and the three best plays you made.

at the beginning it will be hard to find the mistakes bc the often happen without you knowing it was a mistake.

before each game you look trough that file and remember the mistakes you made and try to avoid them.

and practice active learning: you notice something bad, e.g. you die too much. the next 5 games try to die as rarely as possible. focus at one thing per game.

People have this false idea that if a champion is banned a lot it must be retardedly OP and if it goes through the ban phase they absolutely have to pick it before the enemy team does even if they were to fucking first time it in ranked.
Not all champions are banned often for being overpowered, some just for being annoying to play agaisnt. Yasuo is one of the annoying ones, both when on your team and on the enemy team. Banning him is killing 2 birds with 1 stone so of course people do it a lot.
If you have been around in seasons 2 or 3 you would have seen even worse things when it comes to bans, the 98% banrate kassadin whom literally noone actually knew how to play because he was almost literally never open. When he was open for some reason the team which had kassadin had to work around a midbab basically firsttiming him (and usually greatly overestimating his strength) but at the same time the enemy team the other team was so extremely demoralized by kassadin being on the opposite side that they would mentally give up the game, run into him like retards, complain how OP and broken he is then spam surrender votes every time he got a kill.
It was such a shitshow. Nothing that happens nowadays comes even close.

Early cheese level 2 after blue/red, usually top, bot is harder to gank because too much notice to run, usually, and peel.
Gank usually twice or 3 times before continuing your initial clear. If lucky you get a solid lead and lanes either play safe or get killed.

Invade on champs who don't do well keeping their hp to clear, usually countered by champions who clear well.

The main problem is clear speed is horrendous until fed a bit. And if lanes feed, coming from bnehind is insanely hard. but that's the same for all assassin types.

With the changes to talisman, Bami's, and especially catalyst becoming part of Abyssal Mask, I've found that going Cinderhulk into Abyssal/Frozen Heart into whichever you didn't buy is strong as hell. You less damage, but still enough that you can't be ignored, but instead of being made of paper you're tanky as fuck. Also you get a ton of cdr with that build, so once you get Q to rank 5 your bandage is on like a 4 second cc.
