You should be doing half AP event right now to level up constantly, thus refreshing AP over and over. Higher your AP the more that apple is worth.

Save the apple for a real even like Nero Fest. Has it's own daily quests that drop unique tokens. That's where you use the apple so you can farm the tokens to buy even items.
