What are some underappreciated (non-shipping) character dynamics?
I love Hoshi hanging out with Shinguuji in Chapter 2. I think he knows something's not quite right with Shinguuji and he feels he can spend time with him without forming a guilt complex over endangering him with his presence (contrast Shuichi and Kaede, who he clearly genuinely likes and tries to push away.)
Shinguuji is that guy you spend time with because he's entertaining, not because you actually like him.

That is always the barrier of entry to every single thing. Is being dedicated to put the work. I find making things fun and incentivizing makes it easier to learn things. Like I could never exercise on my own and be dedicated about it. Because I am so goddamn lazy.

So I got a job that has me on my feet 8 hours a day doing heavy lifting and lots of running around. I lost about 30 pounds from just getting a job that has a lot of manual labor. I am thinking of going into trade because how much I appreciate this manual labor does to my body.

Drawing like exercising requires dedication and clocking in hours. But if you do something that passively develops those skills, makes it easier to do along the line.

I made a post a couple threads ago but I think it was kinda late and I kinda wanted to know what more people think about it? plus I want more (you)s

>What is that one thing that you hate the most about Danganronpa franchise?
I think it's more a 'japanese game' thing than a thing about Danganronpa itself, but the thing about it being more about the story than about gameplay? I mean, I'm not sure if I can explain it well.
The games are written a certain way, with a certain ending, with specific survivors and whatnot. Kodaka wants to tell a story and that is fine, it's okay for the game to want to tell you a (hopefully interesting) story.
But like, it's also a game. I didn't get into Danganronpa because I liked high school anime or visual novels or whatever, I got into it for the endearing cartoon stereotype characters and murder mysteries
Wouldn't it be great if different murders could take place? A canon route would be a must, obviously, but really, imagine you spend a lot of time with Chihiro after case 1 and the victim and murderer are different
Of course that would be a bit more complex and could change the way it all goes, I am not even sure how it could be kept to make sense and the story and endings would become a clusterfuck to plan but I always wanted Danganronpa to be more 'videogamey' you know?
And sure they've always added fun stuff to it as it has kept going like all the minigames in V3, but there's always been the fact that you can't really affect the story that's bugged me
That and let me pick a girl or boy protag, they're never anything special for fuck's sake. It would make almost no difference.

I've been wondering if maybe I should think of more hypothetical alternate routes or stuff like that
If you could save characters from dying, should the overall story remain the same and it be just who you save but you can't save everyone or should it vary wildly with different masterminds and endings?

The cases would be different, maybe Celes would be killed in Case 2 if you spend enough time with Chihiro/Mondo, but then someone else is the Case 3 killer
But at the end it's still Junko behind everything? That would be more complicated to change. Characters like Kirigiri can't just drop dead (at least before the fake out ending on case 5) wthout affecting the ending and there it gets confusing,

Always up for explaining Junko/Chiaki! The main reason why I like it is because the two of them are foils for one another, and I always enjoy shipping foils together.

It's really, really crack, but it does have SOME basis.

Your problem is one that is based around simple time. The trials are literal hours long, could you imagine if Kodaka had to write 25 separate trials based on which characters live and die? By bringing in choice, you will have to make sacrifices in the narrative quality department, which is wholly unnecessary when you're saying there's already supposed to be a "canon" route.
