Depends what you like. The lore and setting are great. The combat will probably feel weird when you're used to Skyrim or Oblivion, but it's meant to reflect your character's skill, not actually the player's skill.

My main issue with it is actually the lack of npc schedules and unique dialogue. Most npcs just say the same sets of rumours or information. It's also much slower paced than the other games. Lots of non-fighting quests.

it's pretty solid, so you only really need a few mods these days: Get Delayed DB attack, and Tamriel Rebuilt. PS: wait for Tamriel Rebuilts August/September release - they are finishing up some good areas.
Long term we are getting OpenMW 1.0 which will mean modders have 100% control and nothing is hardcoded, which should allow modders to fix the broken combat, etc.

Good point, I was meaning do the quests have any depth to them? Skyrims quests are pretty generic and boring, but the likes of Witcher 3 had interesting side quests that didn't come across that way for example.

All of these were never abbreviated until UNPBO was introduced with its superior breastshape, then 7BO.

I am modding morrowind and one of the patches for a mod to work with Tamriel Rebuilt required Tamriel_Data.esm, thing is that TR team has renamed the esm file in question, so now I can't activate the patch, is it a safe thing to just create a copy of that esm, rename it to a name that patch requires and activate them both?

See, ankoENB makes characters look very good while TKRE makes them look pretty muh in many lighting situations, especially when shadows come to play.
