Why does this game reward unga bunga so much? I've never seen anything like it. I chip away at them and whiff punish a million things, then I block once and lmao eat this "pressure". I can hit them a million times and all they need to do is mash. There is literally no mindgames going on at this level, at what level are there actual mindgames? In any other game there is a conversation between the players even at low levels, here there is no conversation, players are in their little cubicles and just brute force their way through matches. Absolutely incredible. I know I'm not good at the game, but I'm losing to players who are not even thinking, when the fuck does this game get good? Where I can actually have a good fight with the opponent, because that only happens in 5% of matches currently.

The game gets good when you know every string every character has and how to punish them.

I'm not kidding. People who've been playing Tekken since 6 are playing a different game than people who just started playing last month.

The one thing I like about Virtua Fighter over Tekken is that there are enough universal rules in VF that you can quickly learn how to fight each character. All elbows beat punches. All launchers are, typically, launch punishable. Moves either hit in front of you or in a horizontal motion, none of this random tracking to the left/right on some moves and not others shit, so if you predict a K, you sidestep it. The list goes on.
