With Feng, qcf+1 Launches on counterhit. I saw that you can start a combo with it, using 1+4. So it's supposed to be qcf+1 CH> 1+4> 1 > [3,4] > b+1+2. Sometimes b+1+2 lands, sometimes it doesn't. Anybody have any ideas?

it'll start giving you a disconnection % (in the little pop-up you get when you RQ) when you're getting close to your name turning yellow. goes 6%, 8%, 10% (yellow at this point). I assume red is like 20% disconnects.

learn if the break is a 1,2, or 1+2 break. go to practice mode and turn on display recovery whatever. when you are blue you can't do anything, when you flash regular color again is when you can break it. If you know what break the grab is then mash the button. Like his giant swing is a 1 break. His running grab shining wizard is a 1+2 break, etc. Just vs King in practice mode and make him repeat action and choose a grab from the move list and test which button breaks it. You will learn them all eventually.

I can KBD all day long on both sides but for the life of me cannot wrap my head around combos, it's so frusterating. I'm new to fighting games so it should be expected but I swear even doing the easiest combos are impossible for me. I have a friend who hopkicked his way to yellow ranks with Claudio, never rematching people who beat him and raging non-stop. He's already scared to keep playing because he hates losing and the people there actually know how to fight Claudio.
I'm in green ranks and still beat him easily all the time lol.

Pick an easy simple character and dodge people you can't beat and you'll rank up in no time. It's really irrelevant for the most part.

Hey dude I play Kat all the time as well and that combo is a bit tricky but its consistent. The hard one is doing 3 hits before the screw. You wanna throw in another d/f+1 in there. Then run up and d2,HAR4. You'll get the hang of it, I still drop it from time to time.

Buffer the df2,4 after df1 quickly. And regarding the the dash up after the screw, do a double tap forward slightly before the end of your screw moves, It buffers a sprint for you.

d2 had a surprising level of leniency when it comes to catching someone after a screw, so you can do it from a bit further away if you need to. Don't always have to be close.

As far as I can tell, nothing out of that stance gives him + frames. I assume the whole point is that your opponent has to guess between the low, mid launcher and the high with the built-in parry.

I guess part of the problem is that lower rank players don't respond rationally to situations like that and just mash out a launcher or something.

Names of pro players that actually used gigas and got within top 20 of ANY tournament in the past 2 months?

No matter what I try I cannot get gigas; sure his combos are mostly launch and air grab or smash into ground but every hit is near impossible to land and I don't do enough damage just jabbing.

Launcher combo for 80ish damage versus consistent 60-70 damage combos off of one low for 3/4 the cast.

Jack 7 is too defensive for me and there is no other grappler like gigas.
