Guys I have a problem. Whenever I masturbate to fantasies of women they always look like quarians. The legs, the visors, the three fingers, even the glowing eyes and weird face line things. This has been going on for a year. I can't fantasize about human women anymore. What should I do.

I just started playing ME1

Is there any reason to pick the middle choices (as opposed to paragon/renegade) in interactions?

More importantly, are there any drawbacks? I noticed after googling that after a number of paragon/renegade interactions you unlock bonuses, does this mean if I pick the middle option too many times I will not be able to unlock said bonuses?

All we use our image limit for is Vetra and Kai Leng, though. It has been this way for the apst eighty threads.

Also, if you guys want to watch a good scifi show in a somewhat similar vein of Mass Effect(epic science fantasy) I'd recommend Macross. Be warned, it can be hit and miss for some people.

But it has giant robots that transform into jet fighters, so there's that.

That kinda sucks. Liara going all shadow broker stuff seems like the kinda thing a paragon shepard wouldn't wanna stick his dick in anymore, especially after he went off and died and stuff. It'd make sense for him to not wanna be with her anymore.

Maybe it's more personal preference than anything else, but Jack seems to see shep as a person and not an immutable symbol of humanity or whatever. She's kinda separate from regular people too and I think they'd see that in each other.

Then again, I'm rambling at 1am.

Bullshit, Vetra's rejection might be second to Jack's in cruelness.

>friendly but untrusting independent woman with abandonment issues and a tough exterior
>has lived a life of killing and smuggling and despite being friendly with many people has no truly close friends prior to the Tempest and only one family member
>steadily form a friendship with her
>steadily gain her trust
>start flirting with her
>tell her you'll never walk out on her (as it is implied, like everyone else including her dad) causing her to smile and blush
>tell her that you care for her and her sister, causing her to be at a loss for words because of genuine affection
>tell her that you want to explore the galaxy with her causing her to be genuinely joyful
>she invites you on a date to her favorite spot
>she finally she asks you in a somber tone if you were serious about what you said, unwilling to believe that someone could genuinely just love her for her
>her fingers are brushing against yours as she says it

And all because of a little game known as Anthem. Bioware's fucking pet project that disappoints in all ways. Everything about it lacks the creativity that I expected from Bioware, and just looks generic as fuck. It's just the same third person shooter out there, it's the same half-MMO, and nothing about it excites. and the fact that they went with the shitty fake "gamer" talking throughout the trailer truly tells me that i cannot ever trust Bioware to make a decent game again.

Have we ever been able to see bare turian hands before?
>>
>>181608080
Nope.
>>
You know what time it is, /meg/? Coffee Quarian time. Sorry about the delay, I'll try not to make empty promises about updates in the future. Enjoy.

>She wanted this. No, she needed this. Badly.
>The containment breach alarms wailed painfully through her helmet's speakers as she depressed the visor release switches on either side of her helmet. What she was about to do was certainly very risky, especially for a quarian.
>A small pressurized hiss escaped from the sides of her helmet as the quarian's visor finally released itself. She quickly brought up a hand to hold the visor in place, she didn't want to reveal herself just yet.
>Her eyes darted over in anticipation to the human. Being able to view the world around her without the clutter of her HUD already felt somewhat liberating.
>The human's face was a mixture of fear and surprise, it was apparent that he was caught off guard by her brash actions. And was well aware of their consequences, too.
>She found it hard to care, however, both for her own safety and his feelings on the matter. All of her prior inhibitions had been abolished by an insatiable desire that had been building within her for the majority of her adult life.
>The human's face was now flush embarrassment, he was clearly uncomfortable with the whole situation.
>"..Don't.." he said in meek protest, rubbing his hand against the back of his neck, "I-I don't think you should.. um.. here? ..Should I even be- ..umm.."
>She didn't listen. Instead, she slowly began to lower the visor away from her face, closing her eyes as she felt the cool, unfiltered air of the human's apartment rush over her skin. It had a certain... raw aspect that was missing from the clean rooms on the Flotilla.
>The quarian girl savored the sensation, a small smile creased her lips in anticipation of what was to come. She fought hard to maintain control of herself.
>>
>>181608080
chop a turian's hands off and remove the gloves, you'll be able to see them bare
>>
>>181608623
(Cont.)

>Placing the visor in her lap, she opened her eyes to gauge the human's reaction.
>His face was frozen in an expression she had difficulty recognizing. Was it fear? Awe? Surprise? Disgust? It didn't matter to her anyway.
>Pouncing from her seated position at the foot of the bed, she deftly grabbed the human by his shoulders before twirling him around and shoving him back towards the bed, where he landed on his back with a sizable flop.
>Wasting no time, the quarian began crawling on all fours up the length of the human's body, taking in every inch with her eyes in the process.
>Ignoring the look of uncomfortable concern on the human's face, she mounted him, squeezing his hips between her shapely thighs. She shivered slightly before biting her lip to calm herself. She couldn't wait much longer.
>Bending at the waist, she moved to bring herself closer to the human, arching her back inwards so that her still-suited abdomen and breasts rubbed lightly against the human's chest. Her hands began to slowly make their way up and down the human's body.
>She could feel his hot breath against her neck as she moved her face closer to his. She grinned and shivered again at the sensation.
>It was time, she told herself.
>Closing her eyes, she opened her mouth in anticipation, a fluttering feeling rising rapidly through her chest as she moved her lips closer towards the human's.
>She eagerly waited for the feeling she had waited a lifetime for. To finally achieve her desires.
>>
>>181608702
(Cont. 2)

>"Good morning, sleepyhead." Said the human, in an uncharacteristically sing-songy voice.
>The quarian quickly recoiled her head and blinked in confusion.
>"I said.. good morning, sleepyhead." Said the human, this time a little louder.
>She blinked again, and then groaned as the scene around her began to fade. She found herself become quite annoyed at the whole scenario. She had been so close..
>That sense of annoyance was quickly replaced by embarrassment once she realized where she was.
>Rousing herself back to the land of the living, she turned over in the bed, feeling the sheets twist between her legs. Shafts of artificial daylight streamed through the gaps in the blinds on the bedroom window. Dust motes hung lazily in the air.
>Sitting up, she turned her head sleepily to survey the room. Her eyes were quickly greeted by the sight of that same human, now peering through the bedroom doorway.
>The mere sight of him cause her cheeks to rapidly become flush with embarrassment. It had all been so... vivid. She once again found herself thankful that her visor hid her face.
>"Well..well, look who's finally awake." The human said with a grin. "Breakfast is ready."
>He gave a directed nod of his head and pointed out of the doorway with his thumb.
>"Oh.. um.. alright. Thank you. Uh.. good morning." She responded, her voice doing no favors in hiding her current feelings.
>The human chuckled to himself slightly, and then disappeared from the doorway.
>Well then, today was certainly going to be a lot more difficult than she had expected. She silently cursed herself for having such a vivid imagination.
>Pulling herself from the comforting grasp of the bed, she set her feet down on cold hardwood floor of the apartment and began to make her way to the kitchen.
>>
>>181608767
(Cont. 3)

>The kitchen greeted her with a wonderful acoutrement of smells. Many of which she was unfamiliar with, but smelled equally delecious all the same. In the center of it all, was a human. And he was obviously very proud of his work.
>"Alright," began the human, splaying his arms wide in a display of showmanship, "there's sausage, bacon, toast, an omlete that I..uh.. somehow managed to screw up, so it's more of a scramble now.. and lastly, fresh orange juice!"
>The quarian gave him a confused glance. "...Orange..juice? Why would you name a drink just after the color?"
>"Well, um, actually... orange is the name of the fruit that the juice is made with."
>"So did they name the fruit after the color or the color after the fruit?"
>The human shrugged his shoulders. "Hey look, I dunno. I just drink the stuff."
>The quarian nodded her head in understanding, still eyeing the pitcher suspiciously. "Ah.. interesting."
>The human's eyes lit up again. "Oh! I almost forgot. I case you weren't feeling too..er.. adverturous.. I got you a MEAL, PASTE, INDIVIDUAL, TYPE 4 from the local dextro mart." Said the human, adding a mock robotic tone as he read the label.
>She laughed slightly at his immitation. "Is..is.. all of this.. for... me?" She asked, now slightly overwhelmed at the thoughtfulness of the human.
>>
>>181608849
(Cont. 4)

>"Well sure," he replied, "although I was hoping you'd leave some for me to eat too."
>"Oh Keelah, this is all.. thank you. I... don't even know the first thing about cooking and-"
>"Aw c'mon, it wasn't that hard to do. And hey," the human added, "stick around for a while and maybe I'll teach you a thing or two about cookin'." The human then added a wink for good measure.
>The quarian blushed quietly at the gesture. That invitation meant more to her than the human could possibly know. Right now, she would take any excuse if it meant spending more time with him.

Rather short one, this time. This is probably my first foray into the world of lewd, so I hope you anons like it, or if it was too awkward/hard to understand/whatever please let me know.
I'm not planning on doing anything explicit too soon however, so don't worry if you think it's moving too fast, I still have all your suggestions (and a few more ideas)to get to.
As always, thanks for reading, any comments, complaints, questions, and suggestions are welcome.

I love you guys.

Hey, MEG! I have a question.

Imagine a new colony. A few hundred people have been selected to be the first colonists, with a few thousand more on the way over the coming years.
How do they handle energy generation? They wouldn't go for full nuclear fusion immediately, right? Not only does it feel too potent for only a couple of hundred people, but building and installing it seems almost too complex. You'd need a tonne of people getting it working, not to mention maintaining it.

Would solar, wind and water be the primary sources for start-up colonies? Would solar be the largest energy source (assuming Earth-like amounts of light) because of advancements in energy storage?

Assuming that the future also sees advances in the efficiency of solar, then yes, it would be safe to assume to the majority of power would come from the sun.

Solar as of right now, however, requires quite a bit of space, and someone has to maintain all of those panels. As the colony grows I could see solar becoming less and less a primary energy source. Other methods of generation such as wind will probably not be favored as primary sources due to their inconsistency and dependency on location. Location permitting, however, and I could see colonists utilize such as geothermal or hydrogen fuel cell for local energy generation, should there be an ample supply of solar and liquid water.

If the colony is expected to grow to a few thousand over the coming years, I see no reason why the colonists wouldn't utilize a small-scale nuclear power plant. Nuclear power is probably the most space efficient power generation method out of the ones you listed, and the colonists could probably bring the majority of the required components with them. To produce an equal amount of solar/wind/etc. they would need a lot more materials that take up far more precious space, and would take a lot longer to set up.

That depends on the planet. If it´s earth like, like Eden Prime or New Horizon Wind and solar energy would be the best options to start. Hydroelectric isnt feasible, as it would be forced to settle near areas, where it´s possible to construct hydroelectric power plants. Also in case you´d need to relocate, e.g. because of dangerous animals or a natural disaster of some type (e.g. flooding) you would loose a source of energy, along with some resources. It´s easier with Solar panels and WInd turbines, you could simply slap them on the roof of your housings.

>>
>>181631294

Do you think they'd put more focus on individual power generation than today? Photovoltaic panels covering the roofs (coated with something to keep dust and grime off, assuming that doesn't decrease the efficiency), smaller wind turbines on the roof or in the area close to your place of habitation, etc.
Or would they still put most of the focus on communal generation, i.e. mass generation of power with large wind turbines, large fields of solar panels, etc.

Initially it would probably be focused on individual power, as i believe the houses and the settlers overall would be scattered over the area, so each group could do what they´re tasked to do, e.g. collecting resources or farming. But With more and more ppl arriving there would be a need to create a communal power grid, so that the new settlers could live in a somewhat tight community, which would grow to a city. Wind turbines and solar pannels would be the main source of energy for a long period, eventually they will swap to a more sophisticated technology, e.g. Fusion energy. The bigger the project becomes, the more energy it needs, and stuff like laboratories, defense grids and spaceports and whatnot require huge amounts of energy, thus they need a power source that takes up a comparably small space while generating huge amounts of energy

>>
>>181632953
A lot of that depends on the density of colony. If the majority of colonists are spread out over a wide area, then individual power generation methods such as solar would be the best option.

If the majority of the colony is settled in a small area, however, a space efficient, centralized source of power would probably be the best option. Nuclear would fill this role excellently, in fact, assuming that their ships used nuclear power as well, the majority of the fuel and components used in those reactors could be repurposed for use in the colony's reactor. This would give the colony access to a power source that works rain or shine, day or night, and would allow for the colony to expand easier with requiring construction of new power generation methods.

I already watched the documentaries and I came to the conclusion that the presented claims are lacking solidity and evidence. Whereas there´s plenty of evidence that supports the fact that humans have indeed landed on the moon. It´s a fact that humans did that, but that they also survived it (not without some costs, as we´ve seen with several disasters, e.g. the Apollo 1 Disaster or the tragedy of Sojus 1).

And while it´s true that we can't shield a spacecraft from extraterrestrial radiation, it´s effects aren´t as grave as it was previously thought. Sure, there are negative effects by that, but nothing that cant be handled.

So far, the people up there are in a good condition (apart from dwindling muscle mass due to the lack of experienced gravity)

the facts of a hoax outweight the evidence for a moonlanding by men. it was quite convinient also, just imagine the embarrassment when the US would have to say they cant reach the moon in the cold war.

> Why didnt anyone visit moon in the past?

Actually, people have been on the moon, twelve in total

> why do we still launch probes?
cheaper, safer, quicker , easier. Sending humans into space is costly, they require oxygen, food and you have the problem, that they have to piss/shit occasionally, plus they weight nearly a 150kg in their clunky suits. So why not send a probe, that weights a fraction of that and still be able to do science without needing oxygen, food or a toilet. Also if something happens you just send another probe, a human loss would be grave.

> just imagine the embarrassment when the US would have to say they cant reach the moon
so why didn't the Soviets called the Americans out then? It would be the perfect humiliation for their arch enemy, and it would put the Soviets in the leading position of the race for space.

> they didnt go thought the van allen belt
15 people have crossed the entire belt twice. The ones on the ISS dip into the belt from time to time (depending on solar weather, the belt comes closer to earth, close enough to shower the astronauts in radiation)

> you can do this shit in a studio
no doubt, but this wasn't. In fact, it really happened approx 300.000km from here.

> funny the austronauts never took a picture of space showing all the stars
Here´s a fun experiment for you. Go outside on a sunny day and count how many stars you see. If you count more than one, you may have a damage on your retina or you have drunken too much. The thing is, that the stars are still there, but you cant see them because the sunlight is just too bright for you to see. In order to capture them with a camera you´d need to open the shutter for quite a long time, while holding perfectly still. I doubt, that there are few people that can hold perfectly still for a few hours.

And what does the atmosphere have to do with this ? I mean, it works perfectly at night, when the atmosphere is still completely there.

> it works because there´s no sunlight present that would outshine the stars. You see the solar radiation (light) is just so bright, that our eyes and the cameras simply cant process the little light they get from stars besides our own. If you´d put a telescope on the moon it would show you a perfect sky with stars simply because it can manage the exposure times necessary.

Take for example the famous hubble deep field (pic related). It´s exposure time is over a 100 hrs. The cameras the astronauts had an exposure time of only miliseconds. There wasnt simply enough time to take a pic with stars. (also the sunlight would´ve blocked it out anyway)

You see without an atmosphere, the solar radiation is much more intense, so it´s quite difficult to see something, as the sun is even brighter on the moon, than on earth

sounds good, doesn't work

The ground reflects the sunlight, kinda like snow. (An interesting sidenote: sunbathing works best in a snowy surrounding, e.g. on mountains, as the atmosphere is thinner and all the reflective snow let more sunshine come to you)

> point your camera in a direction, where there is no sun and no ground.
You still wouldn't see stars, as the exposure time of your camera would still be too short.

Here´s another fun experiment for you to try. Take a camera or a mobile phone with a camera and set it to an exposure time of 1/60 or 1/30 s (if you´re good, set it ti 1/10 s) and take a picture of the night sky with stars. After you´ve taken the picture, count the stars in the same picture.

You won't see stars, as the exposure time of the camera is too short for the weak brightness of stars. All you´ll see is a black screen

The cameras, which the astronauts took on their trip to the moon, were simple mechanic ones, with 16 and 35mm films. Their shutter speed ranges from 1/60s to 1/1000s, again too short for star pics, but they had the advantage, that the astronauts could use them while they wore their clunky space suits. Also they could take pics with wider angles, so you can see more of the terrain and more details.

>>
>>181663591
I dont believe it is real.

I accept the vast scientific evidence that verifies this accomplishment.

You believe in something when there´s not a 100% evidence that supports it´s existence, e.g. I believe in Aliens, i assume they´re out there, yet i dont have any evidence that support that claim. However things that are proven are facts, e.g. Evolution or gravity. The good thing with these proven things is, that they are true, no matter someone believes in them or not.

You may continue to disbelieve, but the actual fact wont change

Do you not know the scientific definition of a theory? Have you even completed high school? Or did mommy, daddy, and YouTube teach you everything you know?
>>
>>181664337
It is a well proven and documented theorie. Theorie in a scientific sense doesnt mean that something could possibly be in a certain way, but rather it´s the description how something came to be.
There is a lot of evidence, that support evolution as something that has happened, and is still happening. Evidence, like fossils. Also Evolution has been observed, e.g. a type of Algae has evolved in as little as 400 years.

>>181668714
Careful throwing the word "fact" after theory. Scientific theories aren't facts. The facts are the hard data collected through well documented and repeatable experiments.

Theories are explanations on how the facts (data) fits together. A theory explains these facts by performing a well documented series of experiments that are repeatable, observable, and quantifiable.

Remember, well done science isn't about proving something "right", it's about proving everything else "wrong" until there is only one possible solution remaining.
>>
>>181669112
ah , it appears i misread your statement. I thought you meant the outbreeding in a interspecies sense and not intraspecies.

how long after first contact do you think it took someone to fuck an alien in the mass effect universe? and how long until that became generally ok with the rest of society?

like, who was the first person who saw a turian and was like "yeah man i'm gonna fuck that rock lizard"?
>>
>>181698495
It was a turian who first took the initiative to fuck a human captive taken during the Relay 314 Incident.
>>
>>181698495
you think humans and turians fucking each other is still seen as weird by most people? No one seems to care when Shepard and Ryder do it.

You just know that Turians everywhere, even those not involved in the war, felt incredibly blue-balled when they went into full-scale war mode, just for the Asari to tell them to back off from the humans.
Sex was the logical next step for them.
>>
>>181706454
They would have felt blue-balled either way when they learned that humanity had 1/100 of their industrial capacity, population, and standing fleet strength, as well as great quantitative inferiority, and the war ended in an afternoon.

has anyone read Rendezvous with Rama from arthur C. Clarke and the following books ? That´s literally what happened in there.
> put humans along with other aliens on a giant space ark and study them while they travel. They first destroy their own habitat, then invade the other habitats, genociding an entire race onboard. The last remaining species goes full turian on the humans releasing a genophage (sort of) on the humans.

I suppose the fucking started right away after the occupation of Shanxi. The Turian occupants prolly fucked some human settlers and human solderis/resistance fighters fucked some turians they captured. Surprisingly this is pretty common in human military history, there are many accounts of that from WWII, the korean war, Vietnam and nowadays from the Syrian Civil war.

>"Alright, your turn. Most absurd ruling you've been victim to?"

>Strolling down the hallway to her apartment, you come up with an answer.
>"Twenty year old asari child bludgeons her twin sister to death. I moved to try her as an adult, it was struck down. Defense argued that she wasn't aware of the severity of her actions because she stuffed a nine volt battery in the victim's mouth to, and I quote, 'bring her back to life like in the vids.' Judge bought it, she got a walk."

>A whistle escapes her mouth. "Judges have a mind of their own, don't they?"
>You concur, staring at the ground in front, hands in your pockets. "They're supposed to be a beacon of impartiality, but they cover for their own and further agendas. Once you get your feet wet in trial, you'll see what I'm talking about."
>Instead of becoming apprehensive, as you would expect, she meets your gaze with a comforting smile. "At least I can count on you to be there."

>You return the expression, nearly glowing at her compliment.
>Out of every junior ADA that you've been paired with, nobody has trusted and looked up to you more than she has. It's a pleasantly strange feeling, knowing that you're her friend and mentor.
>Well, the former is subject to debate. There's no doubt in your mind that she wants to be more than friends. The hand-holding, the flattery. It doesn't take a detective to figure that out.
>But office romances were messy. Although you've never had any yourself, the acting district attorney has.
>Three of them.
>One dead, one in prison, one in some place as far away as possible.
>Nothing but heartbreak for the old man.

>Lost in thought, you nearly continue walking past her apartment door and leave her behind.
>You're about to bid her farewell for the night before she stops in the doorway.
>In a display of physical agility, she spins on her toes. That nervous mandible twitch was back.
>"Hey, wait. Do you have anything important planned for tomorrow?"
>You scan your planner on your omnitool.
>"Just filling out forms and combing through evidence. Why?"
>Her eyes dart to the floor, going from left to right. "It's only 2000. I... do you want to come in?"

>Well, this was very unexpected.
>Here you are, fighting yourself over whether to accept her advances, and she's just invited you into her apartment.
>You know that she's not somebody that would jump into bed with another person as quickly as other people think turians do.
>But what else could happen?
>"Are you sure? I don't want to impose," you respond, trying not to stammer.
>"Yes... no! No! You're not imposing at all."
>Against your better judgement, you cross the threshold.

>Nostalgia washes over you as you settle down on the couch. Humble and cozy, the apartment wasn't too bad for somebody with student debt.
>She sets down a glass of water on the table in front. "Sorry, I don't have much for human visitors, or visitors in general," she says, taking a seat beside you.
>A blast of cold air erupts from the vent behind you, and none too soon. It was unpleasantly warm in the room.
>Your eyes snap to the holoscreen as it activates. Dozens of popular vids scroll past before a cursor selects "Call Me Sally".
>"I hope you don't mind cliched comedies. The jokes and premise are terrible but I can't help but watch them."
>You reassure her that any vid is fine before bending yourself into a more comfortable position on the sofa.

>Despite the increasingly stupid jokes and the slapstick humor, you couldn't help but laugh along with your partner.

>She's cozily wrapped up in a blanket with only her head poking out, save for a hand when she takes a sip out of a steaming mug.
>You shudder involuntarily as cold air continually pours into the room.
>She notices you pull your hands into your coat. "Sorry, I didn't know how cold you liked it so I just turned down the thermostat."
>A playful grin appears on her face.

>"You know, if you're too cold, there's room in here."

>Pulling your legs under the blanket, you feel the heat penetrate the fabric of your pants.
>Warmth radiates off of her, calming your shivering muscles as you drape the fleece over your body, mimicking her cocoon-like position.
>Her face, fixated on the holoscreen, lingers mere centimeters away from your own.
>She shifts her waist to the side to lean her body against your shoulder with a content sigh.

>It wasn't long before you noticed a lack of laughter coming from the opposite end of the sofa, accompanied by a sudden warm pressure on your shoulder.
>Looking over, you discover that her comforting eyes have disappeared, hidden by heavy lids. Soft breaths escape her nostrils.
>You turn off the holoscreen, being very careful and deliberate with your movements, lest she awake.
>You lean back into the cushions, hoping to find a comfortable position.
>She stirs from the movement and further buries her head into the side of your neck.
>Enamored by her cuddling, you gently stroke her mandibles and chin, lulling her back to sleep.

>You smile to yourself as sleep tugs you into its warm embrace. With a friend like this, who needs a lover?

There it is, folks: the long-awaited sleeping together scene.

Tell me how it is (pacing, style, diction, etc.)
Sometimes I feel myself becoming too repetitive. I might switch to third person if it becomes too much of a problem. And as always, feedback is very appreciated.

This is great, I think your writing has improved vastly since your first installment. Pacing, verbage, structure, etc. are all top notch. I think this is one of your most well-written scenes so far, please keep up the great work.

I daresay your writing is far better than mine, you've got a lot of talent.

As for writing in second person, I can understand the struggle. Sentence structure can be a real bitch when you're confined to using the reader as the protagonist, so I say make the switch, I don't think it will detract from the story at all. Anyway, I'm looking forward to wherever you decide to take this story next.

A shame.
I'd love a darker tone. I'm imagining the survivors live in heavily fortified fortress cities while they try to figure out how to repair the relays. You venture out into the blasted concrete wasteland in search of useful tech and survivors holding out.
On the way you battle reaper monstrosities, indoctrinated civilians and rivalling scavengers from other cities.
Lots of the surface is still burning and the atmosphere is toxic, so you take to the underground areas where the eezo radiation is not as hazardous.
Anomalies are replaced by broken ships, holding lots of loot but malfunctioning drive-cores make gravity around the ship confusing and the onboard VI is not very welcoming.

>Making your way through the dilapidated underground, you and your small squad of scavengers come across the partial remains of a wrecked cruiser, having buried itself into the earth after a long lost battle with Reaper forces.
>As your squad makes it's way through the derelict ship in hopes of scavenging some functioning pre-war equipment, you come across the engineering deck.
>Pushing aside the rusted airlock doors, you discover that the majority of the deck is enveloped in a strange, shimmering bubble, centered around what you assume was the ship's massive drive core.
>Peering into the bubble, you are shocked to find that the area confined to the bubble remains in a pristine, pre-war state.
>Through the distorted effects of the sphere you can make out two vague figures, who you assume to be engineers, tapping away on their consoles next to the drive core.
>Surprised by the sight of survivors, you take a step forward in hopes of contacting them, you find yourself held back by the gloved hand of your griszled quarian engineer.
>"Stop." He says in a low voice. " I have seen this before. You cannot help them. This is their grave."
>The quarian explains that the collapsing effect of the drive core created an isolated space-time loop, forcing the poor engineers to live out the moment of their deaths for all eternity.
>You watch in silent horror as the actions of the engineers becomes more panicked as they frantically try to save their already deceased ship.
>The drive core begins to vibrate violently, and the engineers, realizing their fate, share a quick and final embrace.
>Suddenly the entire scene is enveloped in a brilliant flash of white light, and it's all over. The scene resets to just as how you'd found it a few moments prior.

There's honestly a lot of potential in the setting. Bioware may think they're a bunch of edgy fuckers for the doom and gloom in the OT, but I want to see them take it a step further, or at least lend the IP to someone else who is willing to take the franchise in a different direction.

Kick me down in the dirt, take away my sense of hope. I want to know that I've already lost, and that no matter how hard I fight, I'm just a drop in an endless sea. Make it about survival, nothing more, nothing less. Make me fight to maintain the lives of my squadmates and my sanity as the rest of the galaxy takes a bow, knowing that one day, there will be no one else.

Man, what an emotional rollercoaster that would be.

I train with my biotic Asari Sword every day, this superior weapon can cut clean through ceramic and barriers because it is folded over a thousand times by huntresses, and is vastly superior to any other weapon in the universe. I got my sword license ten years ago, and have been getting better every day.

I speak Asari fluently, both Cyonean and the Thessian dialect, and I write fluently as well. I know everything about asari history and their Justicar Code, which I follow 100%.

When I get my extraplanetary visa, I am moving to Polos to attend a prestigious Huntress Academy to learn more about their magnificent culture. I hope I can become a Huntress or a manual writer!

I own several pink stripper outfits, which I wear around town. I want to get used to wearing them before I move to Thessia, so I can fit in easier. I strip around my elders and seniors and speak Asari as often as I can, but rarely does anyone manage to respond.

Wish me luck on Thessia!

Fewer waifus/love interests, more attention to those who actually have followings already so these little subplots can at least pretend to have story relevance and screen time.

What do you mean by this?
>>
>>181767563
Select a few of the romances to focus on, preferably the ones people who bother with this will actually care about, and don't mind the rest. Polling indicates that in the original trilogy some 75% of players chose one of Liara, Tali, and Garrus, while in Andromeda 2/3 chose one of Peebee, Cora, and Vetra (maybe throw Jaal in too so the straight females have a significant one), with everyone else far behind those three. None of the others had much of a following at all and were a waste of resources besides meeting quotas. Instead of trying to have as many waifus as possible with little attention, try to make a few waifus that all get a lot of content so the whole romance mechanic/side plot doesn't feel pointless besides a couple fluffy lines and the cheevo.
>>

>>
>>181768216
Assuming they go with your plan. Gil would also get some more focus because he' the only human gay romance option on the Tempest. I mean they could remove him in favor of another but I doubt Bioware would want to make another gay option instead of just bringing back Gil and having him send Ryder some emails

Here's a game relevant discussion, why did Vetra get so little content compared to every other squadmate? She's moderately popular but is usually the only one without dialogue after several missions and doesn't even get to take center stage on her loyalty mission.

Like Miranda, Tali, and Thane also had missions where the goal was to rescue family members and repair a relationship but their missions were still about them.
>>
>>181788964

>>181788964
Vetra has no real identity if you don't romance her. She's just kind of a bland smuggler type but without any of the swagger that make Han Solo and his like so attractive. I think the ME:A team just kind of ran out of time with her, and assumed that a turian with zero sex appeal wouldn't be all that popular and focused more on fleshing out Jaal. But whatever intern they handed the job of romance writer to did a knock out job and now everyone wants more Vetra.
