Had a blood daily so thought I'd cobble together a spawn deck. I have absolutely 0 confidence in this company after this expansion. If every retard could point out how fucking stupid this card is, and it ended up just as good as expected, I don't know what to say. The bodyguard is also stupid.

In a month they'll also avoid nerfing Spawn as much as they can. Watch them remove the enhance on Baphomet and make BKB's effect vengeance only and call it a day.

Literally go look up pre-expansion deck evaluations on the Jap sites. Spawn was evaluated below Caraboose some places. Game-Ai's puts his speculative deck on B tier and their evaluation is put together by tournament winners.

/svg/ is just selectively remembering the posts they can complain about the most. Spawn went over because some people did guess right and built the neutral list, everyone testing the Blood heavy lists were right that he wasn't that good on them.

Exactly. Spawn is nothing special by himself. He is broken with Baphomet in Neutral. A "pure" Blood deck focused around him is bad. Control Blood with him as wincon is good, but nothing special or tier 1 material. He becomes a problem in a deck with the best first 4 turns in the game, that can follow them up with a turn 5 Baphomet (that is usually a terrible turn 5 play, but it is compensated by their huge turn 1-4 tempo) and turn 6 Spawn.

It is much less dangerous. It's punishable, for being a "do nothing" on such a late turn. Unlike Aegis, if you evolve it, it loses its potential as a wincon.
It's not bad, of course. It's a good finisher for a deck that lacked a good finisher, but it's not the cancer it is in Neutral Blood with Baphomet.
