I've said this many times but:

1) A gun that is literally good at nothing. Shit speed, shit damage, shit bloom, and makes her slower while using it.
2) Kit that is essentially just a poor man's version of everybody else's kit.
3) Shield is immobile and directional, making it the least flexible barrier in the game.
4) Fortify is really crappy, doesn't last long enough for a massive cooldown and does little to help her because she's still extremely large and able to be critted easily
5) Horrible mobility that prevents her from getting back to her team after dying, escaping, not getting flanked, everything
6) Character-wise they could have made her endearing by having her be young and enthusiastic and curious, with lots of little interactions with everybody. Instead she is just MUH BARRIERZ and sounds like some random African woman, nothing unique or endearing or memorable about her other than MUH BARRIERZ

Well, she's not a support tank, that's one of her problems also. She's a MT like rein/winston, except she performs worse than rein in all but two maps - Well on ilios and Shrine(?) on Nepal.
Also, healing won't save neither her ass, nor the asses of her teammates, because even if she would get a healing similar to hog's rebreather - she's still predictable as fuck, there's no character in the game to get easier headshots on. Her gun would still hurt like a nerf rifle, her barriers still would be immobile, and while easily spammable - not enough to shield the team from changing directions like rein is able to. She simply doesn't have clear implications and synergies, and as such people still don't get why the heck is this shit even in the game.

But her ult is really fucking good, tho. People who shittalk the bongo don't know what they are talking about, 50% damage boost is no fucking joke.

People started to catch on to the way Mercy mains were abusing the SR system after people begged Blizzard to give more SR points to support mains. Also, the invincibility during ult change made it so Mercy OTPs could stay alive much longer than they deserved to and get carried to GM. The same shit happened with D.Va when she got her 400 armor buff. She was so insanely to survive with that people who mained her got a huge crutch all the way to the top. After she was reverted back to normal, those same people couldn't do shit anymore and thus dropped back to their proper ranks. The same shit needs to happen with Mercy.

I started using it last season and shit boosted me up to 3100.

This season I'm skipping it because I somehow play a lot worse if I use it. I don't know why, I just can't hear comments, process them (bear in mind English is not my mother tongue and I play in EU), be aware of the surroundings, make the proper call outs and still play well at the same time. And if there are more than two other people talking, I just lock myself out and barely say "well done" and "thanks". In fact, last week a guy and a girl complimented my Lucio play as I was bullying the living shit out of a Bastion and S76 and my arms started shaking for no reason. I guess it has to do with barely leaving my room in the last 6 months.

I know I will go back using it. Right now I'm at 2700 and I'm starting to see situations where I cannot spare not using it.

Just had a game on Route 66, both teams kept shittalking each other and their teammates, the match was a complete clusterfuck, but ultimately they won, because they had a really good hitscan dude that just sat on a cart as bastion and annihilated our tanks, because we had zero coordination and put out orisa+winston against a shielded bastion.

if you don't look at just tanks at his true pick rate, in the roster of 24 heros there's a 0.43% that the hero picked was roadhog in GM

roadhog is truly trash, only Mei and Bastion get picked less but their win rates are well above 55% while Roadhog is well below 50% in GM

he's the character with the lowest win rate in GM and if you look at all ranks then he loses out to only sombra in terms of win rate, but she's actually not that bad a pick now and she's only that low because people use her to throw games.

What's the consensus on the Reaper Soul reaping change? I think It's... Ok? I get to deal with tank much easier, which is mostly his job.

And make his dueling much more consistent. But it still feels weird not picking up souls. I think overall it's less healing, but more when it's needed.

Not going to lie walking up to a tank and killing them and leaving with 90% hp is a lot of fun.

Overwatch is the king of late changes.
Mccree was fucking mental, so a couple months after him getting nerfed into the ground we got ana with her sleep.
D.va was insane back in triple tank, so when triple tank was obsolete - blizz rolled out with a clear counter - Sombra.
Now, after almost half a year from triple tank, we finally got an even better tankbuster, exactly when no one is even playing tank-heavy comps.
I fucking love this attitude, it's tons of fun - trying to predict what kind of upside down balance change we will get next.

Final Blows should be an Elimination and they should create an Assist medal so the "I have Gold Elims" dickwaving when it was probably off of assists can end.

Even then final blows doesn't necessarily mean much when you get one lucky Dva pistol shot after the Junkrat and Winston whittled down the enemy. With hero damage being the medal now instead of overall I feel that's really the only way to tell if your team was working.

How do I stop dying /owg/? I don't think I overextend, in fact I usually have gold objective time, but I still die ridiculously often. even as tank
(this is 600 hours of quick play but my comp stats aren't much better)

Try paying more attention to your surroundings. Definition of overextending depends on where the bulk of your team is located, so you probably shouldn't be on the point when you are down two people and the enemy didn't lose a person.

It really pays off to sometimes just turn around as a tank/dps on the frontline. Your backline might just be slow as fuck, so you'll need to remind them they should actually use legs to fucking move, or they might be assaulted by some dipshit flanker, in which case it's pretty much a free kill.
When I play Zarya - I'm constantly rotating, keeping an eye on supports, just in case.
