Ruler of the Sky is a shitty boss you have to chase around with flying controls, who shoots projectiles 2fast4u and has an attack that is very nearly un-avoidable because his hitbox suddenly because three times its normal size

most folks just use AB3max xaldin on divine rose and use xaldin as many times as they can

I was able to get 12.5 million by having at least one GAU medal, followed by three KA medals, and then Xaldin B on Divine Rose 30, with another Shared KA.

The point is that you do as much damage as possible to one target. The final fight with the copter fleet will require you to make it at least two turns to finish so you can deal that much damage. Even with the small enemies you want to deal heavy damage, but only beyond level 100 enemies. The smaller ones are to help replenish your SP.

Nah, the whole point of BBS was to show what happens when you lean too hard in either direction. KH1 went with the whole "light is good, dark is evil" mindset, but every game following that has made it a point that neither is really the case.

Hell, BBS made it clear Terra was a master in all but name, and Riku got the title no problem once the darkness in him was acknowledge as totally fine. Sora failing was due to being weak to the darkness, and KH3 makes it appear that this control problem will be a major plot point.

Depends on the game, most of the time you have no say in the matter like Yakuza 6, 0.2, Killzone Shadowfall, Let it Die, Ratchet and Clank, and I think Knack while games like Final Fantasy XV, The Last of Us Remastered, I think Uncharted 4, Nioh, Horizon Zero Dawn, and Tomb Raider give you a menu to choose between certain options. Most of the time it's simply unlocked framerate that's usually 60 or stable 30 with downsampled 4K (If on 1080p, I don't have nor plan on playing this thing on a 4K TV) and sometimes games like Nioh take it further with unlocked framerate and downsampling but you get framedrops all over the place or stable 60 but with less graphical fidelity.

Final Fantasy XV is an exception though since some of the Pro options introducing framepacing issues while others don't and that entire thing is a mess with it.

On Critical, the secret bosses almost force you to spam the surges. DDD wasn't as bad. Granted, Balloon spells were OP as fuck, but you weren't forced to use them.

I'm starting to wonder whether or not I should just try to get my essay on the subject linked in the OP template. It essentially points out how KH2 was a far better designed game than BBS because it gave you a lot more options that were actually viable for a multitude of things, compared to BBS where you were forced by bullshit boss design to abuse surges. This was partially because they had so many options that obviously some were going to be better than others, but when you HAVE to make a strategy that literally every single guide on the subject recommends as the only feasible way to beat your superboss, you've fucked up your boss design.
At least in more actiony games, straight up RPGs that are more strategy focused makes a bit more sense in that regard. Like the SMT games, where there used to be a "Just fucking pray after grinding your stats up to 99 for every character, and go through all of the summoned demons the super boss summons twice." recommended strategy, until someone figured out that you could get rid of the SP of the one that revives all the other demons before they use said ability and you could make the fight a lot easier and workable. And yet even with that, the specifics of how you go about doing so are still slightly up to you.

Only when playing as Terra. Ventus has the Raids and Aqua's Magic Commands are all OP. And even then, Terra and Ventus can make good use of Sonic Blade.

The only thing I will give in is that Terra sucks. Both Ventus and Aqua have better options of defense in spite of their lesser HP, Ventus has the best commands to deal with Vanitas Remnant (makes sense) and Aqua's Magic is simply broken. Terra's only advantage is his HP, which doesn't matter when everything is one-shotting you. Oh, and he can't fly/jump higher. It might be a pun on his name but that is still infuriating.

You mean Aqua, right? Because she has Seeker Mines and they decimate Vanitas Remant whereas the other two only have Mine Square/Shield or hiding behind a rock spamming raids. Aqua's magic isn't really that amazing compared to the rest since the only real good one out of the lot is Thundaga Shot and Seeker Mines, for her you are better off either just using Magnega/Thundaga like the rest of the crew, maybe Thundaga Shot, and the usual Thunder Surge. Anything that requires 2 cost is not worth using in BBS nor in DDD because you have far better commands that only take up 1 slot.

The problem with Terra is that his dodge has little iframes, that's why he's the worst of the lot. If he had the same iframes as everyone else there would be no difference.

Yeah, but that's an oversight and considered an exploit. If you want a proper 1v1 Aqua has the best skills for fighting him while the rest of the crew just have the generic mines. Everyone else also has the raids so it's not locked to Ventus and they can exploit the same thing if you so choose. For the actual fight Aqua is the best followed by the other two.

You'll generally be at level 50 anyway by the time you reach endgame and have everything ground out, I've never had to grind at all with Mickey but Stitch was always worth using for grinding commands at Olympus. Grinding to 99 in BBS is like Riku 99 since the best place was the spaceship against the splitting jellyfish if I remember right and they only net you something like 2k a kill with Mickey out.

It's not that hard to get another Key to Rewards, just simply go to either the first room of floor 5 or 7, can't recall and fight a couple battles. It guarantees a drop there. You'd be better off opening them right now since some of them are new magic cards, summon cards, or sleights.
