As an aside, honest question, /shmupg/, trying to decide something. How do you feel about autobomb taking your entire resource stock away. If your resources could be used to manually bomb for less consumption but also attack. Would you rather just not have autobomb on a character in that situation?

Arkanoid vs. Space Invaders is great! The hard stages are especially fun! The normal ones are a bit easy so far, but maybe that'll change.
It's pretty hectic. It makes me want to play the classic Arkanoid and Space Invaders again as well. I'm not sure which versions would be the best, but the NES versions were pretty great.

Well, they might be waifufags, but for one thing this is hardly the website to be annoyed by that, and secondly they never get involved in our daily retarded arguments, which I'd think counts for something. They also offer insight into their realms of expertise when it's relevant, whether it's Deathsmiles or Touhou or just general shmup discussion.

A lot of it is just bumping but a lot of /vg/ threads have to rely on that to stay alive and having someone with the dedication to bump it all fucking day means something when nobody else remembers or has the time or simply can't be bothered to do it.

It might not look great to some people but its a pretty nice milestone for them when you take in the whole view. I've refunded Darius Burst since I started the thread. Honestly I think it's shit. Way overpriced and it requires a very specific monitor aspect ratio to play properly. Also refunded Crimson Clover cause it feels like some Chinese shit. Ghost Blade feels sort of Chinese shit too, cause I can't see anything for the first level but I'm going to keep.

It's not terrible at all, in fact it's fucking fantastic; the gameplay is pretty much the same as always, but it evolves the concepts from G.Darius further while omitting the ship-capturing.

Graphically it made a few sacrifices due to its initial budget. But in everything else, it's Darius through and through and Pyramid did a great job.

Speaking of Border Down, G.Rev is actually handling all further development of DBCS, such as DLC and whatever may come yet!

It's not overpriced; it has an incredible amount of content, the gameplay is great, graphically it looks clean and mostly pretty.
And you don't need a specific monitor setup to play it. A dual-monitor setup is great for arcade mode, but it's easily playable without it.
CS mode was specifically created for 16:9 screens, so it looks perfect by default.

Well, theoretically that's actually true. I find the really hard thing about the 2nd loop are just the first 4 stages. If you got them somewhat down, and use your bombs smart, then the rest is not much harder than the first loop. It's only the first 4 stages which are hard, imo, but that's where you saved bombs for.
