I know I'm making this look and sound easy, but you have to remember, in AARnon's Internationalverse, Trotsky's 'Union of Soviets' was extremely against nationalism and patriotism of any kind, and under him like I mentioned worker conditions hardly improved as his whole thing was pushing the ideals of 'internationalist egalitarian communism'. There was also no mass industrialization, Russia's industry score is like 125 STILL. Without a strive for patriotism you aren't gonna have a Great Patriotic War.

The peace was decided at the Congress of Moscow. Fifteen years after the failure of Operation Eighteen-Twelve. There was also the Second International, mostly a club of the National Communists of Italy, the Bolsheviks of the Slavic Union and the Communist Party of Great Britain. The CPGB would have its time in power again, as it was elected and led several governments through the 2010's and 2020's. No one ever found Trotsky, many theorize what happened to him. Some believe he fled to Australia, others that he is still behind some unexplained events in Russia.

Europe would still have its conflicts, through which it would achieve progress. The German Democratic Republic adopted a form of 'market socialism', becoming an economic superpower and dominating the Nordic states, eventually wresting the Baltic Union and Poland-Lithuania from the British, who themselves had maintained their power through the Atlantic Union which included the slowly rebuilding French, the 'tiger of Africa' Nigeria and the ever-loyal Italy. Stalin didn't live long enough to see the Slavic Union prosper. His and Lenin's party was credited with the Union's industrialization, though it was only one of the many parties competing in post-Trotsky Russia, as Stalin and his followers couldn't fully establish their control before his death.

Africa continued to devolve into warlordism as there was no one to look after it. Nigeria, Rhodesia and the East African People's Republic remained stable, though others weren't so lucky. ex-communist bureaucrats, native chiefs and heirs of colonial officers dating back to the colonial empires of the 19th century that struggled against the Worker's Commonwealth took power. Some kept it strictly to business, others like Cameroon and Senegal claimed to be the old British and French empires reborn.

This would continue into the 2000's, when a Second Scramble for Africa occurred as a move to bring stability to Africa, or at least some parts of it. Keane's move for an 'instant decolonization' in 1902 would be felt for many centuries.

The United States and Japan continued competing for the Asian markets, as China unified under Ma Qi and his descendants. America in particular held to the old British Empire's role of maintaining a balance of power, and ensuring nothing like Keane's International happens ever again.

In 2036, an operation by the Americans and Japanese led to the liberation of Mosleyite Australia, though not without a desperate nuclear strike by the Mosleyites on Japanese Indonesia, bringing forth a new era of warfare and diplomacy.

War Participation system is a little weird. It used to be even worse but basically here's how it works: You don't get war participation from winning battles. You can get it from occupying land, but actually that's inefficient. The easiest way to get tons of war participation is to bomb the shit out of the enemy, and lose tons of men in combat. It used to be that you could get theoretically infinite war participation from bombing but now there's a cap, so the most significant factor is how many of your men died in combat. Given that the Soviets have a shitton of men they can send to die, and you said they were ramming themselves into a brick wall pretty hard, I wager they lost a ton of men in combat and so the game figured "wow, they sure suffered a lot, they deserve lots of stuff" even though the reason they lost so many men was incompetence.

Saw this happen in my KR game. I was the French Republic trying to invade the french mainland with my main man Kingdom of Spain (not Jaime I, fuck that guy). We declared right after Germany did and basically did everything from sink the enemy fleet to establishing and maintaining air superiority. The thing is, the germans just lost a fucktonne of their own land to the commune in the early stages of the war alongside some 5 million men. It wasn't until we'd practically taken Paris that the germans actually pushed back to their original borders.

And what happens? Germany has over 60% war participation, and Spain and I have about 15% each, despite us being the ones actually winning and taking territory. We didn't actually finish the war because we've pretty much never played the game before and didn't know how fucking annoying it is to do a naval invasion of Britain once they got some 20% of their population into the army.

The King of Sweden held a famous speech in early 1914 on the courtyard of the royal palace. In said speech he made some demands of the then liberal (classical) government which he saw as anti-military, and erroneously refered to the armed forces as "my army" and "my navy", implying the demands were absolutely non-negotiable and that he was to be considered the true head of the armed forces, and not just as a ceremonial figurehead (as the king of today is). This triggered a constitutional crisis during which the liberal government resigned in protest and a conservative took their place (conservatives which I might add were not big fans of the way the king had challenged parliamentarism), they soon resigned aswell and a new election was called.
