I got rid of ledgers because they're the ledger package is completely dead if you're going 2nd right now, there's not a chance you're going to play it ever. Maybe I haven't played enough of the new expansion but I haven't often had a problem dropping ledger T4 or T5.
As long as I can draw my Unicas and Zombie Parties things usually stay under control enough that I only eat 3-4 damage for the T4 do nothing.

Another problem I have without ledger is not having enough shadows for T6 Death's Breath, but I imagine you could fix that with Sergeants and Soldiers

But since I run wards and I can easily match pressure and rack up shadows while doing so. Anyone else feels like they should rebalance the entire game due to the power creep? Dark Jeanne D'arc has the opposite effect of regular jeanne but with the same stats, yet Dark Jeanne is 6pp while good Jeanne is 8pp.

A lot and I mean a fucking lot of older cards have the same effect of newer cards, yet newer cards have extra effects on them or better pp cost. Forest has a lot of cards that require 2 other cards to be played before they get their effects yet these effects aren't anything amazing or game breaking, rather under balanced for what other new cards can do.

An expansion focused on just rebalancing would drastically change the game and for the better, allowing more fun meme decks. Another expansion with more power creep would just push me over the edge into dropping this. Same reason I dropped Yugioh so long ago and HStone two years ago.

Not possible. That's the difference between Spawn and Eachtar. Spawn can just be dropped and win on his own after you've dealt some damage with anything. Eachtar actually requires you to devote your deck to generating extra shadows like 1 drop doggy, 5 drop doggy, and Bone Chimera and Catacomb. If each card only makes 1 shadow, Eachtar is going to be severely weakened.

I'm seriously disgusted with all these Neutralshitter. Can't you be more creative with your deck?

A small amount of power creep is generally necessary in card games. I've played a lot of them and something you see a lot is that even if newer decks are perfectly serviceable, most people will just stick to the decks they've already built that they're comfortable with if the power level doesn't change. You can just reference /svg/ here to know that most people don't have any ability to build. The ideal direction is that newer sets give token support to old playstyles the way Tenko and Odette gave new life to Elana.

That said, this being a digital medium I would love to see a major balance patch down the line that brings up a lot of old cards. There're definitely cards out of meta they could bring up without much trouble, but in a lot of cases like your Jeanne example, it gets more complicated because the old Jeanne isn't strictly replaced but her function just hasn't been good in any of the metas. Old cards pop up as new tech in games all the time and while I don't think it'll actually happen, it's feasible that some card will release next expansion that suddenly makes Jeanne a 3x in a list. When they balance cards, it's not just a consideration of how good the card is but how it interacts with the rest of the pool. Baphomet wasn't a problem until Spawn, he'll be a problem again if Spawn is nerfed and so on.

DB is what allows you to stop Spawn plays. If someone plays Spawn and then you drop Deaths Breath. They have to deal with the wards which Blood can't do sufficiently unless they have Horde. However, if you're going first and play DB on curve, then they have to deal with all your pressure or else they get OTK'd by Eachtar. There's no reason not to run it desu. Also using Soulsquahser isn't smart right now since it eats up too many shadows, which is better off being used for DB because 3 2/3 wards.

Every time they drop spawn they insta evolve it outside of revelation range and the neutral package ensures you get hit early game, which you can't even remove most of the time without moon+revelation.

It's pretty shit but I honestly think it's better than the early Tempest meta. There're only two prominent decks, but both of them are easier to counter play than Eachtar and Ramp were.

It's still very much a "play the meta deck or play a counter" meta though. I do think it's better than Tempest, but that only means it's the second worst meta we've had. DE and Rise were way better sets.
