Sharena is redundant with Summer Robin, they have almost identical stat-spreads.
Cherche is worthless without a brave axe + but amazing with one.
Alfonse is just plain bad, embarrassingly so for a red sword. There are common 3* rolls better than him.
Sophia is likewise probably the worst red mage and does nothing notably well.
Cecilia is amazing but green ranged seems to be the one thing your team already has covered so she's not as important.
Oboro sucks


I'd lean towards Lilina just because she's probably the best hero in that list who doesn't require a 5* sacrifice to function and you seem to lack any reds except for Ike. You might also want to consider Michalis because between Nino and Reinhardt, you already have an excellent spread of offensive ranged sweepers, and a hard check to melee blues might be useful. Just remember that Michalis does require some notable SI to work well (namely: QR2, Ignis and a reposition skill). You don't have a flier right now so that might actually be your best bet.

As far as I know, first impressions of her are that she's a middling archer whose stat spread isn't impressive. Her bow may create some really interesting options as a debuffer, but I don't think it's been tested enough to really be certain and debuffers are already difficult to use properly in the game's current OHKO-focused environment. Archers themselves aren't terribly important since they're strictly inferior to mages and have an easily accessible hardcounter in ravenTA. If you wanted one on your team, you'd be better off waiting to pull a Klein or Taco. Leave the experimenting with Clarisse builds to the whales who can afford to waste their resources.

Most of the basic debuffer stuff doesn't even require whaling, only grabbing Atk/Spd seal from Summer Freddy probably does, and Poison Strike is usable enough for testing purposes. Then grab Luna from regular Freddy because Glimmer is hot garbage on her and most things.

Her defensive stats are pretty solid so Fury gives her a nice boost all around, ideally to keep her from being ORKO'd by anyone. I'd imagine the best way to use this would be with a dancer so either she could sweep 2 units or she could debuff an area and another unit could sweep through.

The reason whaling is necessary is because sinking a huge investment into a unit that may end up just being shit is hard to justify otherwise.
It's not so much finding the exactly perfect, most optimal build for Clarisse as it is finding the best team to take advantage of that build, and then tweaking the team, and build to optimize both for each other. It's not just a matter of 'who benefits most from a wide-area -5atk/spd debuff' but what team is best suited to getting Clarisse in position to debuff without suiciding her in range of a Nino, and then capitalize on that debuff? Her bow doesn't actually debuff the target she hits, which means she can afford to target the enemy's physical wall to debuff the ranged sweeper behind it (which is why poison strike and savage blow seem beneficial) but that still requires a unit capable of making a followup on the debuffed target, or else capitalizing on the fact the debuffed target can't double/OHKO on their next turn.

Right now I'm thinking she might work well on an anti-cav team, since her debuff essentially negates cav buffs and thus denies them their deathball. That still means you'd need to pair her with good offensive units to capitalize on the debuff, though.

Ike also has (lol tier art in Heroes and is generally outclassed by Ryouma. Lyn is a niche in Heroes but it wasn't like she was godly in FE7 either and she has good art here. Fucking around in training tower, I've found both tanks like Gwendy and glass cannons like Lloyd tend to appreciate the mass debuffing, as it often means they die instantly to less of their banes. I think she'd ideally want a melee tank to bait with near her at all times, and some high movement stuff like fliers or cavalry to exploit the gimped groups effectively. I don't think it'll be a viable team for arena under current conditions since there's too many risks of things dying instantly there to 1 shot setups, but it might work out alright for TT and the new game modes.

Sharena is overall inferior to Summer FRobin because she can't have IVs but she will be an Arena and quest-related unit very often.

Clarisse is pretty decent if you don't have a +Spd!Jeorge or Bridelia. Colourless are in a bad situation right now though.

Michalis is pretty decent and Fliers are having an edge right now because of the declining use of Archers after SI.

Cherche is common and rather expensive to build so only do so if you have the ideal boon (+Atk).

Oboro is also common so the ideal-IV-only rule applies here, and her stat spread isn't as optimized as Lukas, Ephraim, or even Donnel. She is not bad though but rather expensive to build so think carefully unless she's your waifu.

Lilina wants +Atk. She's a worse -raven Tome user than Sophia and a worse -blade user than Tharja/Katarina as well. I don't think she's worth it.

Alfonse is pretty bad but like Sharena he's a common required unit for Arena bonus and quests. Building him can be fairly cheap or expensive depending whether or not you wish to keep Folkvangr.

Sophia is the best infantry -raven Tome user amongst the Red Mages. She is rather common though so you should aim for +Atk -Spd IV for full optimization.

I can say this has been the worst gauntlet so far.

The first one had a great number of issues, mostly due to how completely unbalanced the choice of competitors was. None of the issues with it have been fixed, and all they've really done is add a new one and take away one of the few good things about it. In the first one, even though Lucina utterly destroyed all the competition we could at least see how well the other characters compared. Now, thanks to the pity bonus making the actual numbers on each team meaningless, we can't even see that.

The voting gauntlet is theoretically a popularity contest, and the first one largely succeeded at that with only a relatively small bandwagoning issue due to the extra feathers for winning. I considered it to be rather annoying but the pity bonus blew it out of the water in terms of ruining the point of the event. Thanks to the pity bonus, it fails to even really act as a popularity contest now, but it doesn't do anything else either, it's just a source of feathers now with no fun at all.

There is no strategy in this gauntlet. People can't talk to each other in game and even if they could, almost nobody would actually bother because there's no real reason to. Anyone who cares about trying any kind of strategy is joining which ever team they think will be the smallest and don't care about winning, they just want to rank higher within their team.

Some seem to think that it's a good thing that team Priscilla has a chance due to the pity bonus, but I disagree. Elise has clearly gained points at a greater rate during periods without a bonus, so in terms of popularity she has clearly won, and yet there is a solid chance that Priscilla will win overall purely due to said pity bonus. This completely defeats the point of a popularity contest and has resulted in me losing what little interest I might otherwise have had.

I really hope they fix this next time instead of going even dumber and doubling bonuses to 14x or something.
