We're not dead and as far as we know, we have enough people in our roster to no longer need people coming in from the thread.
We're not interested in hopping servers, and we will no longer be recruiting actively, unless there is a need to, but atm we have are able to pull together full parties with decent compositions for endgame instances.

It mostly falls to the fact that "normal" physical skills and attacks are usually garbage. Dancer has pretty dope crit and hit songs but who wants that when you have super saiyan acid bomb, dragon breath and similar shit around? Ironically the bard's aspd song also aids those skills by making them more spammable. Before keknewal the only physical skills of relevance were sharp shooting, asura and sonic blow and even here all of those benefitted from bragi more than anything. In keknewal you also have all those skills based on max hp so bard unironically gets better once again, it's a global design mistake.

Mechanics intrigue me, that's basically it. It's definitely a lot more beginner friendly considering NPC weapons actually do something and Mages have short cast time from the get-go.

I'm not an expert in renewal but so far I've got that you no longer need lots of str to do decent damage. Strong weapons have a huge impact in damage overall, even npc weapons. Luk is also your 2nd source of atk (and matk) and its totally worth to get some points.

On the other hand, defense/hardDefense barely mitigates the damage you receive. Seems like race/elemental resists gears/cards are the only way to be tanky in re:start. This also applies to mobs though so you may find them squishier than in pre-re.

Also, at least in re:start, flee and hit seems fucked up. In the early levels, getting some agi could save you some pots, but you need to be careful since there are mobs like steel chonchon that more flee and hit that they should. Toy factory 2 seems like a good place if you have 40+ agi, even cruisers will miss you.

It's not that they're fucked up, but in renewal flee now incorporates base level in its formula. So if your level is far below the enemy, then you'll be much easier to get hit than if you're on the same level as it.

I only played classic. I'm old. 30. Played this game back in the early and late-ish 2000's. I even played it on the official servers when it was released. It was amazing. There were like 5 servers, all with 20,000+ players each. Anyway, I remember playing wizard and doing vertical firewalling in orc village. Easy. Sword was very hard. I needed a healbot basically to level effectively. Also wizard was instant death if I did one misstep. Never tried much of an archer. Thief was simple too and could survive relatively easily with high evasion. Merchant was also tough to level. Basically I'm not asking which is easiest to level. I'm asking what is a good first character that can possibly help me level up alts and get me into a good end game.

Koreans love to make their games have insane time sinks. Item and EXP traps. It's very common to play a game made by a Korean developer and fall in love with the gameplay, graphics and mechanics only to find out a month later that the game lacks heavily in content and patches. They have this way of making even the basic end game consist of 1000 hour grinds and they don't care if the player suffers. It's the way they make games. Fun isn't their goal at all. Once they have an established playerbase and start to see complains from them about how hard it is to progress or near impossible, they do nothing about it and simply introduce cash shop items. Focus goes instantly from actual in game content to cash shop. That one rare material you need will appear in a Gacha box where you have a 10% chance of getting it, as opposed to getting it in game with a 0.001%. They do this all the time and people still are dumb enough to see it. It's just how they make their money.

It's the "we wouldn't make them, if people didn't buy them" scenario. The only reason people buy them in the first place is because the core game is designed to be so brutal it's simply an escape.

Suffocate the playerbase slowly and long and eventually they will even pay for air.

In case you don't care to look it up or research, I'll try to explain it to someone who doesn't play the game.

To get the recipe you have to enter a dungeon that is impossible to solo farm without a class dedicated to it or without good gear.

Dungeon farming:
>The dungeon drops X item as a low % chance from mobs.
>You need 2 of these to craft a recipe box.
>You also need a recipe that also drops as low % chance from those mobs.
>You also need 5x recipies that drop from the bosses random cube.
>You can only run this dungeon 3 times a day per character.
>Opening the crafted recipe box has a low % chance to get a random recipe.
>You can open the box 3 times if you pay a insane silver sink and only if you have premium token enabled.

Field farming:
>Once you've gotten the recipe you've wanted, it's time to farm the materials.
>You will now need 15 of those X materials from said dungeon to start.
>You will need 2 of insanely rare end game materials. We'll call these Y material.
>You also need 90x of random world monster drops that have a drop chance of 1 per 1 hour of farming.
>This translates to rouchly 100 hours of constant monster killing, in maps with low spawns and competition.

The Y material:
>You are limited to 1 material per character through a series of quests.
>This quest gives you another random cube.
>You can only open this cube once a day.
>This cube needs to be opened twice, which is a noobie trap.
>If you fail to open it twice it breaks and can never be used again.
