The main reason why I play NA is because I know what servants are released and in which order.

Really my main fear in JP was not having enough quartz when a good servant was coming out. So at every single gacha I was doubtful, fearing that some servant I really really want would drop next and I wouldn't have any quartz left. Of course, I was a f2p only player. Now even if I have to wait two years I know at least that I can save for a servant that I absoluely need.

Pretty much any 4 or 5* Saber will end up being better than lily, but if you don't have any she's better than nothing.

As for avoiding, Stheno isn't amazing, Siegfried is lacklustre on the only arc you'd think he'd be any good on and Marie Antoinette is good at keeping herself alive and that's about it. Also, 5* Altria isn't that good compared to the other 5* alternatives.
