So every time I play Feng I like backdashing and sidestepping and doing Kenpo to dodge shit and be annoying with pokes or punishes, and then when they feel like being defensive I try to apply pressure but I'm ass at it

Actually Lars is pretty good. Check out some of the high level Korean stuff with him.
His problem is that he lacks a good ws punish(his ws launch is slow as fuck and unsafe), and his lows are questionable.
However, he makes up for it with having like 500 strong safe mids and if he launches you you're going to a wall no matter what.
Definitely not low tier, he's just one of those characters you have to think a bit to use. Can't unga your way to victory.

Lars main since Tekken 6 here, this guy is halfway right..

Lars' lows are pretty good, all of them are fairly hard to read, some are NCs, they give the usual light combos off CHs.

Almost all the crush properties on Lars' moves got removed or all of his moves got heavily nerfed in frames so you need to play much more defensive and rely on moves you didn't use before in Tag 2.

Lars is my highest ranked character, there's a lot of things I'd change about him, but he's still pretty fun to play.

Keep playing quick match, bodied or not if you know one combo for your character and how to BDC (Not even KBD) then you're on the right path. In fact practice mode doesn't do you any good as a brand new player because none of that is gonna make any fucking sense to you and you're not going to end up practicing the RIGHT way. Get some general experience and then start practicing in training mode.

There's a buzz around Tekken 7 for the community to level up their game. I've been playing Tekken for years but this is the first time I've decided to dive real deep into learning characters, getting the muscle memory so everything feels natural when going for competitive play. I've been training with Master Raven so I know what you mean when you say satisfying with that character. Her back stance was always off putting until I got some level of control over it. Now I don't feel intimidated by it and can't wait to us it to confuse opponents.

Anyone know the exact properties of ravens various teleport counters? (b+1+3, 1+2, bb+2, qcf+1+2)

I've tested a bit, seems they don't work vs lows.
And it seems only b+1+3 has 1 frame start up, I can make it come out mashing it during any string with gaps, while the others (for example 1+2) gets hit in what I assume are the tightest strings.
