No its not, you're going from a ridiculous 300k EHP to just north of 100k with a faction/deadspace bling fit typical of huge T3C fleets, because of their reduction in armor hitpoints, resist bonuses. Couple that with losses in slots both low and mids also reduces their effectiveness/tank even further. Also with the signature nerfs, the Tengu is now bigger than a fucking ferox and the legion is bigger than the harbinger. Thats a huge change tracking and applied damage because of it.

It does matter here, sig radius is much bigger and the speeds are lower meaning more damage gets applied even more so than before. Its a huge change from before where you had some t3c that had as big sig as cruisers but tanks beyond battleships and the damage of battlecruisers. Since 3 of those facets have been eliminated save for the damage of battlecruisers you have a much much weaker engagement profile especially when the tank has been cut by upwards of 66%. having a little more than 100k ehp is far more manageable than 300k. These things are highly susceptible to being flat out alpha'd off the field .

The tank did actually get fixed I don't know what you're bitching about at this point. Less resists, less base hitpoints, less mids and lows I don't understand where you think that a 300k to 100k ehp difference isn't enough.

But that isn't the only place they've been hurt. The applications of damage and tank disable them from being as prominent in wormhole activities and blopsing purposes. Really tired of this idiocy. Has there been a decline in player count? Of course, but that's to be expected for an MMO of its age. None of even the most popular MMOs have retained their peak player counts but that doesn't mean they'll be shutting down any time soon. Hell, even Ultima Online and Everquest are still kicking, and 2016 was CCP's most profitable year yet. As for skill injectors you have been able to buy characters from the character bazaar for years, injectors didn't really change anything.

Let me tell you a story. Back in 2007 I used to play this crappy p2w grindy korean MMO. As part of one of its major updates they heavily revamped all of the classes, in most cases greatly simplifying them. My class went from having engaging combo potential to a two skill rotation. Naturally, a lot of players didn't like the changes and quit, so for a long time after the update people constantly complained about the game supposedly dying, which was far closer to true than in Eve's case, as it had always had a sparse player count and even getting enough people together for dungeons in certain level ranges was often an impossibility, however that game is still up and running now.

Eve fills a very specific niche and a heavily invested/loyal playerbase. If a generic, terrible grindy korean fantasy MMO can survive hemorrhaging players for ten years I highly doubt Eve will be going somewhere any time soon. Will it eventually shut down? Of course, all things come to an end, but to think the addition of skill injectors or a bunch of retards crying about carrier nerfs means it will be any time soon is, frankly, retarded.

Lower player count but lots of new shit. Citadels, which are a lot more like NPC stations, are replacing PoSes. Later in the year passive moon mining is being replaced with a more active process where you blast off a portion of the moon, pull it in toward your refinery, blast it apart, then mine the asteroids.

You can now play for free permanently as an "alpha clone" which is more like a non-time-limited trial than an actual f2p option as you're limited to your race's frigates, destroyers, and cruisers, along with half speed skill training and lots of other skill restrictions.

Citadels can be put up anywhere, not just in nullsec. They can be also be set up anywhere in a system, not just at moons. They operate much more like NPC stations than PoSes and can be fit for different purposes. There are multiple kinds, citadels, which are designed to be more defensible, engineering complexes, which have bonuses to manufacturing, and they'll be adding refineries, which will have bonuses to reprocessing and be used for the new moon mining system, later in the year.

The biggest addition in terms of ships were tier 3 hulls, which are more versatile than their t1/t2 counterparts. Tier 3 destroyers have 3 modes they can switch between, gaining different bonuses in each mode, while tier 3 cruisers have a variety of different subsystems they can fit to specialize in different ways.

The new tutorial is a lot more railroady and story-focused than you'd expect of Eve but it rewards SP so it's worth doing before heading to the career agents.

Deklein (where goons lived) was not penetrable by capitals for the longest time because you couldn't make the jump across the void. The voids were upwards of 8ly long and capitals could only jump 5ly at the time. This made it extremely difficult for anyone to touch goon's ratting havens at all. Even blops had a hard time because the voids were so wide.

The same thing sort of exists with Drone regions. Drone regions are occupied primarily by russians and the russian drone regions are fucking huge and most of the ratting goes on in the farthest, least penetrable regions ever.

I've been carrier ratting in drone lands for years and not once have I ever seen or heard of "careful guys, enemy blops fleet in range to drop on us" Not only that I've never been cloaky camped because theres no reason someone is going to cloaky camp in such a far away region they can't hit with blops.
