I have never had more than 25 minutes to wait in SB and even then you can go craft or gather as you wait or fate and still get exp on said class. Talk to your fc mates, decorate your apartment, explore, find aether currents, etc. There are many things you can do to keep interested during a queue. People are super negative about being dps but it's the majority of the classes and they are always needed even if not immediately like healers and tanks.

If I played WoW for example, I'd be in a dungeon within 10 minutes as dps, if I didn't queue with a friend. Or anything off my steam games list. There is just no possible way to justify waiting 30 minutes to however long to run a dungeon once, when I need to run it 5 times that day. Especially when I don't craft, or care about maxing out a bunch of jobs spamming fates.

You also absolutely don't need to do 5 dungeons a day let alone the same one, that's a bit silly unless you want to as dps. It's a personal choice. Palace sucks but it's fast as shit, PvP is fun even without callouts and organization and fates are worth doing in many cases as well.

I'm not trying to argue that anyone is wrong or anyone is right just trying to put out facts that are evidence that things aren't how they seem to be to a lot of people.

Ffxiv is a fun to play game but if you don't have the motivation you don't have the motivation to let it work for you.

Direct Hit works on healers, the only downside is that you cannot proc Direct Hit on a heal.
So it's kinda like before, if you want to do damage, you must meld full accuracy (well in this case, Direct Hit which used to be accuracy).
A full 18 VI melds is 19.2% direct hit chance on healers and I fully recommend this since it yields the most damage output given that no healer gear has it.
Depending on how good or bad the i330 secondaries are relative to raid gear, BiS of healer may include some i330 pentamelded DH VI, but we'll wait and see for that.
No, you do not need extra healing potency to effectively heal a raid. Stop.

That being said I'd likely switch from MCH if it were so bad it was unplayable. I have an open mind so I enjoy many different things. We're barely a DoT class anymore which we used to be and our pets are quite weak, I'm not sure what type of casters we're suppose to be anymore
