Generally by playing on harder difficulties. 1.051 also normalized (and effectively nerfed) the bonus experience objectives for some perks between all difficulty levels, so Sharpies and Gunslingers now only get +1 per headshot regardless, Support welds are also only +8 per increment too, though door repairs I believe still scale.

Classic Masterton and Briar are already unlocked if you own KF1, Tom Banner and the Zweihander as well if you own Chivalry, Anton if you own RO2, and Jaegerthorn if you follow the KF2 community group on Steam. So ultimately, the deluxe thing gets around the game prerequisites, gives you DJ Scully, some cosmetics you might not care about, and KF1 if you don't own it already, on top of some typical extras like soundtrack and art.

You can get the Deluxe upgrade later if you don't want Scully right now or something. Up to you.

Obviously I go for the double barrel asap because it's relatively cheap and lets me solo large zeds. If I do well and get enough dosh I try to buy the demo's m16 near the end of the waves as well since it's highish dps and good for spamming grenades at a distance with.

I've been seeing medics running around with med smgs, acidic rounds, tagging every single thing that moves and never healing unless they get forced back to the team by a scrake or fleshpound. Is this a new meme or is it normal-hard shitters from the sales upgrading to HoE?

Personally, the only thing I like about the M1014 is how fast it is compared to the AA12. It's kinda good for a quick hit-and-run-and-reload, but that's just me.

I'm fairly new and playing on hard right now so my opinion doesn't carry much weight, but I find the boomstick to be kind of OP for how cheap and strong it is vs large zeds. You don't really need another shotgun if you have that unless you're playing Support.

As for other weapons just buy whatever your team is lacking in. At level 15+ it's hard to hit your carry weight limit by round 10 so don't be afraid to go big.

Demos are quite useful on Suicidal and HoE. Of course, they're not imperative to have on a team, but they definitely bring a lot to the table, turning Fleshpounds into a joke and Scrakes too if you know what you're doing (i.e. stun them with dynamite if your team lost control of it and then headshot it with a point-blank RPG).

Ammo costs can definitely add up, but unlike KF1 you can also get free ammo off Support players once per round so there's that too. Though you'd probably have to defer the ammo boxes to them since AA12 ammo isn't cheap either.

Actually. I had a thought. What do people think about the idea of getting to swap out the 9mm starter for another pistol? You'd pay full price for whatever you picked (m1911, deagles, w/e) but it wouldn't cost you a weight block.

Pistols are garbage aside from the .500, and the sharpshooter uses it best. Gunslinger has no utility, shit damage, and has very limited trash clearing capability because of small magazines.

It's the most useless perk aside from fucking survivalist.

I did 6 man HoE as a level 21 sharpshooter, and a commando was able to decap the scrakes with a couple of bullets after I domed them. My damage calculations for a level 25 sharp came up to just a hair below the scrake's head health. This is without ReU. Obviously a full 50% bonus would be more than sufficient for a one hit kill, but it's not too reliable because stacks decay so quickly.

Honestly find Commando pretty cozy, and thankfully free from the ridiculous Stalker bodycount requirement KF1 imposed. Support feels great as well.

If you want to try out Sharpshooter, it might take a good bit of leveling up before you feel it click.

I use the EBR with the new lever action. Plenty of ammo especially if you mix in your 9mm to take out trash or farm with ReU before engaging big guys. RRLRR the skills for maximum fun.

M14 is the pub stomper gun, let's you compete for top kills easily. Railgun is the credit to team gun that drops large zeds faster and more efficiently.

If you're doing suicide or hell on earth it's highly recommended you run the railgun. Anything lower and you can just solo everything with the M14 anyway so it doesn't matter.

Commando's well rounded, yeah, but it's not exactly a replacement for a Firebug, especially not in well-rounded teams. Put a Firebug to hold a choke and nothing except large zeds will make it through that choke, and the rest of the team can just go elsewhere to better cover their holding area.

Assuming a choke point where a lot of zeds are coming through, even a good Commando sometimes will get a little overwhelmed by the trash there, and he will probably need to step back from time to time. Firebug just lets things come to him in any numbers they want and they will still melt like butter in a microwave.

It may be shaky up until you get Ak47, but after that you can leverage your reloads with Tactician (machine gunner is a meme) and you're pretty much impenetrable.

Firebug isn't really bad, it has a place on balanced teams. It just struggles to kill large zeds. Gunslinger has pretty high damage output but not as much as Sharpshooter and at less range. It's super mobile comparably though and can work well with the right group.

SWAT and Survivalist are the only perks I would consider to be truly bad. Really though just play what you want, even on Hell on Earth difficulty a party of 6 survivalists can win if they all co-operate well.

Level 25 Sharpshooter Skills: LLLL_ crouched, still, aiming, but no rack em up points, does 1shot decap a scrake on hell on earth with 6 players with the railgun in manual aim mode.
With LLRL_ or LLLR_, (no rack em up, OR no dead eye) it doesn't quite 1shot, but he only needs one or two 9mm shots to finish his head. Or you can predamage those shots before the railgun, so he's never raged.

Caulk and Microwave don't really need aiming, but they do take just a little bit of technique and strategy with the ground fires and damage over time and trash resistances and shit.

Sharp is easier to fuck up with. You hit the body instead of the head, you have a raging zed that took very little effective damage. That's why any Sharp player on the higher difficulties shouldn't be shit. Demo, on the other hand, has more leeway since he's mainly oriented towards Fleshpounds and Fleshpounds should be hit on the body. Scrakes aren't as much of his concern, but even if they were, you can either stun a Scrake and easily headshot it or know its attack animations and shoot its head when it is open.

But it's more rewarding if you play Sharp right. Scrakes are deleted on sight and FPs just as much with a freezing nade (avoiding rage animation entirely), and with a little bit of skill without one (headshot it right as it finishes its rage animation). Sharp doesn't even need to have headshot stacks to do it, one Rail Gun shot with all the left skills is enough.

Black Forest has a little hill near the train that can be used to funnel zeds.

Prison might count if you consider the watch tower, though the whole team doesn't exactly sit there. But otherwise yes, zeds definitely have a lot of openings.

It's harder to hit the head in general because zeds shamble about instead of conveniently lining up, and they also have shitzones like metal. They have nearly as much health as a fucking Bloat, and pretty commonly spawn in mass numbers from wave 1 on up. I often don't have enough ammo left in my mag to manage that while also dealing with the other enemies.

Every time someone gives counters to Gorefiends, it seems like they're either a Support/Demo evidently unaware of exactly why Gorefiends are so easy to kill for them, or only considering situations where it's just a lone Gorf, when the reason they always kill me is because I'm busy backpeddling from a mass horde of other shit, then I run up against a Gorefiend, mag dump into him, he still doesn't die, then I get trapped between the undying faggot and every other enemy in the local area.

I can honestly say that I have an easier time soloing against a trio of FPs and a moderate sized horde than I do dealing with Queerfiends plus anything else. I fucking hate Gorefiends and I don't see that changing at any point prior to their fun-deleting guard getting nerfed.

SWAT needs a shield or some combo of smg and melee, SWAT's bash should be something with a baton, or taser or even use the knife it doesn't matter. Make the alt fire swing said melee weapon while bash shoves or pokes. I don't mind SWAT spitting bullets but when I heard SWAT for the perk name I wanted a shield or some form of another melee perk that isn't zerker. Zerker is in a great spot now.

If you know about the build then you should know there's not much finesse to the Bone Crusher.
If you just want to tank so that shitters don't need to learn mechanics and don't get punished for it, just go with all the tank skills and remember to hold block a lot. If someone is getting gangbanged by trash zeds, just spam light swings around them a few times and the zeds get knocked down.
Oh and you can parry rockets and bullets I guess.
There's really not much to "learn" to use the Bone Crusher. It's just a waste to start tanking instead of killing.

It's not though. Firebug excels at melting trash. Trash resists Microwave but it doesn't resist the fire of the Flamethrower.

If you avoid igniting the large zeds as much as possible and always (always) focus on killing trash, Firebug can be quite useful on higher difficulties.

The thought process was that it would give you a lot more grenades and give SWAT some area control at the cost of being shit in direct combat and not healing anybody.
Ideally you would want to use it as a secondary weapon, and launch it into high traffic areas to give yourself some cover, or play knockoff firebug and weaken incoming zeds for your team.
Its definitely knockoff medic grenades, but with a bit of a different application.

His entire schtick is SMGs. If you want a stun weapon that isn't a SMG, just give him a flashbang grenade launcher.

If you give him a shotgun, then people will start complaining that he can't use the Support's shotguns.

A flashbang launcher would be much better and have less problems because it'd be only one weapon that can crossperk.

You give him a shotgun, then people want to see SWAT use the SG 500 because "the tacticool SWAT teams use it IRL too", and since it weighs less than the M4, it'll lead to the same situation we have for Support right now.

Even if it's only the M4, who would use it for SWAT? It weighs more than the SMGs and you can't get the bonuses for it unless they somehow drastically rework the perk which would fuck up balance further. You might as well use a SG 500 instead if you want a shotgun that badly.

Heavy Armor Training:
Current skill reduces incoming damage by 35% when you have armor on (damage multiplier: x0.65). Increase damage reduction to 50% (damage multiplier decrease to x0.5)

Level 15
Ammo Vest changes to Well Prepared. Carry 30% more ammo, 1 more grenade and increase maximum armor by 25

Level 20
New skill on the right side: Focus Fire. Consecutive hits on a zed will gradually amplify the damage that it takes. Start from 5% to 20%

Level 25
Battering Ram
Run in real time speed while knocking Zed down. Also give SWAT 50 armor and nearby teammate 25 armor.

Imagine at level 25
Perk passive gives you 100 armor -> normally at 200 armor
If you pick Well Prepared at level 15, it gives you 25 armor more -> now 225 armor
At level 20, if you pick Assault Armor, it gives you 50 armor more -> now 275 armor
If you pick Heavy Armor Training at level 5, you will have 50% damage reduction. 275 armor with 50% damage reduction.
If you pick Battering Ram at level 25, you can constantly be up in armor during the whole match while giving your mates armor too.

Also gives SWAT a fuckin shield too. Shield + Mac-10. Make M4 Shotgun and Deagle crossperk for SWAT.

Are you high? Even if you go max magazine capacity on Commando (which is total shit btw) you won't get anywhere close to a swat who's p90 just passively has 100 rounds.

No he doesn't. Literally the only way Commando can get a bigger magazine than SWAT is by using BOTH magazine size skills (which means giving up 30% damage and 50% recoil which is retarded) and even then ONLY with the Stoner.

There's absolutely no way to make that useful. Either it becomes glorified night vision that makes it easy to see Stalkers without a Commando or at absolute best you can see zeds through walls which matters fuckall considering how fast they spawn and how easy it is to hear them anyway. I can anticipate where any zed is coming from just by listening to the sounds they make when they spawn and move around. It's not that hard.

He already has a stun grenade you know. Other than making him into the dedicated big zed crowd controller, what use does a weapon like that serve?
Keep in mind all other perks still have their crowd control meaning SWAT is not the only perk able to make it easier to kill big zeds. Keep in mind any other kind of status effect by default stops SWAT's from working (you can't stun a frozen zed and so on.)

Quick weapon switching for a perk that's now supposedly meant for crowd control seems pointless, and even if he got it now, SWAT's options are just 3 guns with varying degrees of bullet spraying.

Forget support. A gun loaded only with single projectile explosive rounds shouldn't be a support weapon at all, just a straight demo weapon. Even if it happens to be 12 gauge.

What 12 gauge? Pancor Jackhammer; allowing an altfire of slapping a detonator on the loaded cylinder and dropping it as a variable-power proximity mine.

The extreme weight was just because they were prototypes with no concern put into lightening yet. Horzine could plenty feasibly finish it up to be a reasonable weight.
Horzine could also finish up the mine altfire concept, improving on it with a "total target value in proximity" detonator, much like KF1 pipe bombs, so lone trash doesn't waste a big boom.
On second thought, forget attaching detonators, Horzine is ballsy enough to have detonators integrated in the cylinders from the start, just activate and drop.
To be really nit-picky, FRAG-12 shells wouldn't work well in such a mine, since they have an arming range like we're used to in KF for 40mms and rockets. But again, Horzine could plenty feasibly fix it; make their own explosive 12g rounds that can either be fired just like FRAG-12 shells, or have their explosive directly detonated electrically when the cylinder is a mine activating.
