IADs are easy as shit when you realize how imprecise the movement actually is. It's more about rhythm getting the 1-2 than the precision. Dashes aren't hard either but obviously hitbox is superior in travel time, however there's a tendency to hit buttons too quickly.

The only time I'd use a hitbox is if I mained a charge character or played jive.

The game is honestly really hard to get good at. It requires a ton of labtime and knowledge of advanced techniques, and you would have to learn 40+ different matchups from scratch. If you've got an offline community you can play with then go for it, but you're likely to have a tough time finding anyone online to play with. The netcode is pretty bad so you'll only really want to play with who live close to you, reducing the likelihood even further.

Never do back throw from command grab unless it will kill, it's bad because it gives you no oki and F-Kouma's strength is his vortex.

There are no real crossups in melty unless you turn yourself in the air, so "crossup" is not really a mixup (unless you're one of the exceptions). What you do is ambiguous land left/ right into low. You can do this by doing something like a superjump forward and then an air backdash, so it's hard to see where you're gonna land, left or right. Another method is to neutral jump and air drift (you can slightly steer your jump trajectory even after you jump by pressing left or right, which you can combine with momentum if you dash previously, so dash neutral jump and then hold back/forward/nothing/mix it up to make it ambiguous where you're gonna land).

You can mix the high from the jump and the command grab when you land on either side too. Both hits and command grabs lead directly back into the same thing, which is F-Kouma's strength since C can only get this from grabs and not combos.
