The upper plate is easier to pen than people think, all you have to do is aim at the center where that I don't know what it's called circle thing is, that's where the 170mm-180mm plates are.
The armor relies on the tank's height so much so that if a tank is similarly tall on flat ground, the effective armor from aiming at the same turret height would easily be less than 210.

And if you load gold, the armor becomes irrelevant altogether, auto-aim and pen.

Which one is more OP, Liberte or Nameless?
Liberte has more effective armor on it's hull but it has a really thin cupola.
Frontally, the thinnest part of the Nameless is on the lower plate but it's easy to hide and can still bounce stuff if angled.

Edelweiss is a fucking speed demon running around with light tanks, it's a good thing the gun isn't as monstrous as the Nameless.

Nameless is just full blown bullshit, the cupola is a fake weak point with 200mm armor and with it's speed, hitting the cupola center is near impossible. The lower plate is tiny and easily hidden and the upper plate bounces even some tier 10 shots. The most bullshit thing about it is the speed, it's already an invincible frontal brawler, with the speed it can relocate to the other side of the map in a minute.

Sure, but it is not 30mm thick, it's 3mm + air gap. Air gaps in spaced armor don't offer resistance against projectiles, hence why soviet side armor is completely unrealistic and retarded.
The air gap serves two purposes:
Primary use, it makes HE explode away from the main armor/vehicle.
Second (but read it all to see why this shouldn't apply to the soviet vehicles in the game), it acts as a buffer space to give room for projectiles to change direction. AP shells try to normalise their trajectories according to the surface they hit.
Using that picture as our armor profile, what would happen if the side armor got hit?
The AP shells would first normalise downwards at first, because of the first plate, then they would have to normalise again on the second plate. That's why the plates are angled like that. The first plate is trying to normalise the projectile in a way that is actually denormalising it in relation to the second plate.
BUT, since AP shells actually rely on kinectic energy to cause damage, this secondary effect only really happens if the first plate is thick enough to offer the shell some resistance. Those 3mm plates on the IS-3 and other soviet heavies would never, EVER, offer any resistance against the weapons in the game. The plate is just too thin and any AP would just go through without any alteration in trajectory. In fact, those plates are so thin the only resistance they would have is against VERY small firearms.

Also, as other anons said, if a 3mm plate count as 30mm of armor because it is 30mm away from the vehicle (or 27mm air gap + 3mm steel plate, whatever you wish), why doesn't the side skirt on the e-50, on the e-75, count as 40/45mm of spaced armor, since they are 40mm away from the vehicle?

Either remove that crap or make it consistent.

I have some virtual machines with WoT installed on them so I platoon those accounts up with my main and play them all at once.

Usually I run arty on the other accounts and use them as like direct fire support for my main, but the arty platoon nerfs messed that up a bit.

So now I just run one alone in it's own game and tab into it occasionally to fire when I don't need direct input on my main. I happened to tell this to someone who was flipping out over how shit my arty was playing and he said that he reported me and that I'll get banned.

Will I really get banned? He said it was no different than botting but it is, I'm the one pressing the buttons not some program.
