Look both Lancelot and Herakles get outshined in the future. Herakles gets replaced by Cu Alter who is far better even when Herk has the Bond CE, and Lancelot gets replaced by Raikou.
Herakles without the CE isn't even that good, and it will take you at least a year to get that CE. Likewise Lancelot will be fucking useless if you can't produce stars to use Infinite Military Training, and the only way to get consistent stars is Twice CE which also comes later.
So, both are kind of equal now, and both get outshined later. Just do what you want.

Was browsing through Netflix anime category (which is surprisingly pretty solid) and came across Fate/Zero. I thought it was a cool name and the thumbnail seemed cool, so what the hell Ill watch. The dialogue was some of the more mature and deep discussion I have seen in an anime. Pretty philosophical and intellectual. Also, the magic lingo is on point. I loved how dark it was. Yeah block and dodge, both at the same time. There is a huge gap in skill that I simpy don't see Herakles landing a hit. He had trouble landing a hit on Saber when she had BCC stats during their forest fight.
>Berserker Herc is weird, they keep saying he's still pretty good with his weapons but he's lost his "mastery" over them and most of the time when he fights he fights like a true blue berserker, using mostly his raw physical advantage to beat out the enemy.
According to the VN he lost all skill and is just going full Hulk Smash. Anime is not canon, if you try to argue using that then Herakles can be harmed by C Rank NPs.

You can know who Herakles is, but FSG is going to make knowing Lancelot a true pain in the ass.
Herakles just has terrible compatibility against Lancelot both under Berserker. He has much better chances under another class as Lancelot has only B STR as Saber without the Arondight buff, but then again Lancelot has Overload and the swordbeam plus he can Broken Phantasm if needed so he can still beat Herakles.
I just don't see Berserker Herakles being able to get a hit in unless extremely lucky.

The thing about it is that Herc with God Hand, high Endurance, and Battle Continuation makes him hard as hell to kill. If you don't land a killing blow, eventually he'll adapt even without being killed, and with Endurance and BC, a killing blow is hard as hell to actually land. I'm pretty sure Okeanos gives a good indication of how tough he is, so hopefully that comes out before too long.

Read what BC actually does before you start talking. BC would have allowed to let Herakles continue fighting after being rammed by Iskandar. However he would still have died if that attack had killed Lancelot.
Also Lancelot has his armor on top of his regular END. Herakles is basically naked.

We've known from the beginning that there's different ways to interpret each stat. Medusa has higher top speed, Cu has better acceleration, both have A rank AGI. It's entirely possible that Herc's got better ability to soak damage while Lancelot can fight on longer without tiring, just as it's possible that it's the other way around. Servants with the same stats aren't exactly the same.

You don't need an A-rank NP to injure Herc. It's just the attack that has to be ranked A. Using an NP ranked B or lower is fine if it's done with a high enough STR stat. The skyrocketing resistance is the hurdle to overcome. Lancelot is actually better suited than most for dealing with this, since he's got A-rank STR and has an arsenal that includes pretty much anything he can think of using to beat his enemy to death with. D-rank weapons likely won't do much against God Hand, even when used with an A-rank STR stat, but at least it means Lancelot has a fighting chance, even if it's an uphill struggle.
