Some game mechanics new players should know about:

You can fire inside of brush, but not through brush.

Ranged masters deal less damage to targets at close range.

Nodes (kind of like runes in league) have half effect in non ranked gamemodes.
They lose stats if you do deviate from a masters nodeslot colours.

Jumping reduces your stamina bar too. If you dodge too much you can not jump and vice versa. You can jump over a lot of skills with proper timing, this includes most ultimates.

There is two types of PvE, Timespace Distortion and Stages.

Different TD are unlocked during certain days. They are fairly easy, come in two difficulties and are used to unlock masters that are based on other NCSoft game, like Blade & Soul, Aion or Lineage.

Stages is where the fun at.
You run through them and based on your performance you get a score. If you clear a stage with a fairly high score you unlock the next difficulty rating.
Difficulties range from babbies first pve to "nightmare", which is actually fucking hard and is only something that veteran players should run. Can run these solo, but its more fun in a group. You can do PVE with up to three players. Enemy HP is adjusted accordingly.

For instance the hero im playing a lot of bumaro basically has:
-Adhere to a target slowing or hasting them, healing or hurting them depending on if its ally/enemy
-Burst acid around you for AOE damage
-400% enhanced defense while regenerating HP stationary and then a knockback
-Reflect damage and then a knockback

so based on how you configure that one hero it synergizes a lot differently

each hero also has 3 weapon paths that control the characteristics of your basic attack and allow you t ohave faster/longer range/more damaging attacks by choice

Is PvP less stressed here comparatively? I know there's always toxic people online but I'm hoping MXM is less stressful to deal with than Riot's little monster.

Also, do the daily rewards reset after you miss a few days? Or do you miss out on the whole thing once you drop the streak?

Login rewards are cumulative, so missing one day will break the streak. With calendar you should just miss the reward for the day you skipped and that's it.

So far I haven't met any toxic people myself. Today were actually the first ones since closed beta, but since they were just the usual lads talking smack while having a negative KDR themselves I didn't really count that.

Ranked mode still has to come out which may explain the lack of toxic people, but when it does come out most tryhards will probably just move to that anyways and keep the rest comfy. Having a lobby, minigames and Upside Down do a pretty good job at mending souls.

Been playing through the game and so far it feels good to play, which is neat.
Also seems like you can unlock characters through challenges, which is another plus.
So far I think Pancuga is the most fun to play (But feels a little underpowered) but I think I hold off until I have more unlocked to give my final say.

It looks like it's grindy but I've been able to get a lot of stuff very easily. It might not be the game for you if you only have like 1 hour per day but if you have just a bit more it's pretty easy to unlock stuff.

Weekly and monthly quests. Can be done within a few days/weeks respectively, and the monthlies often give stacks of 100/150/200 medals.

5v5 Titan matches (vs real players, not CPU) also give like 24 medals per won match so if you're into that there you go.

I just got my full legendary node page done after one week of playing and even managed to grab 2-3 additional ones as a bonus.

conclusion: vs competent enemies he is an almost instant loss. huge issues

1. enemy can pick up your buffs
2. teammates don't pick up your buffs in a radius like all modern games, they have to run directly over them
3. if you throw a buff directly onto your teammate, they don't automatically get it, it still falls on the ground and has to be picked up, sometimes leading to them almost standing directly on top of shit and not having it.

I HAVE seen him be absurd one or two times. Hit an ultimate combo'd with someones black hole type skill and my Rytlock got all the packages, proceeded to 4-5 hit the entire enemy team.

He's just THAT situational though. He's like a character who is probably insane at the highest level of play but when everyone is learning the game, and with the above usability issues, he is just straight garbage right now.

Part of the problem is probably that most people will always just instalabel any game like this as yet another failed another LoL clone and dismiss it. Even if that game did some changes to the formula and expanded on things a bit. I for one think the tag system and PvE and minigames are nice additions, and stuff like 25min 5v5s are nice QoL improvements compared to league. But since it's been LoL back and forth for years it's probably impossible to try and make some changes to the MOBA genre now.

You can earn them through daily/weekly/monthly quests. If you complete a set amount of dailies/weeklies/monthlies you'll also get an additional x-coin bonus. I have made about 1k x-coins the past week that way, and will have another 300 coming tomorrow when I finish the 10th monthly quest.

Some PvE achievements (like clear Extremes on S and do an Easy mode of a stage for the first time) also give X-coins.

And as a special tip: they are an account-bound currency. Meaning that you can also log into the other region on your same account, do dailies for X-coins there, and have them stack up nicely.

Nanurunyerk is pretty good if you combine him with one of the snipers and run the stacking buff. You can reach HUGE numbers and chunk even Kooms for 1/3 of their HP.

Hold down the alt key to view timers on your minimap.

You basically want to make choices based on what you can gain.

The most important thing is to gather points to summon titans, so you can do whatever you want while your titan is up.
If the enemy team has a titan too they will meet and fight, so both teams have some time to do what they want. Titan healthbars and elementa are visible on top of your screen.
Remember that titans give buffs when they are up, use those to your advantage.

Side altars are also really important. The summons heal players near them, and they push like crazy.
Fallen heros are easy to take down however, but if you support them you can wreck sidetowers really fast.

The middle side towers is basically what keeps titans at bay. They fire mortar shots that kill titans pretty fast and aoe everything near the titans with explosions. Therefore side towers are a big priority.

If you have a titan pushing up their base and can walk to the side towers, just kill them. While they shoot the titans, they will not attack players.

A lot of players make the mistake of ignoring these towers and wonder why it is so hard to finish games when the middle is open.

Other than that, take the bosses whenever you have time available.

Another major objective is the small titan monolith that spawns on the small island in the river. It is killed very fast and drops a titan shard.
Those shards are extremely valuable because they allow for titan transformations.

Transformations can win games if used properly. Always try to get as many shards as possible. If you can transform twice in a row while the opponent can not, then you usually can do a game winning push.

Here is a short explanation about the objectives on Titan Ruins:

>Titans
Spawn every 100 points.
Three different titans according to element.Titans behave slightly differently and give players on their team a mapwide buff.
Titans can be stunned if skills are used onto them while they are "weak" during certain attacks. A yellow bar below their HP bar will fill. When it is full they are stunned (unable to move or attack) and every hit onto them is critical (150% damage).
Titans use a special skill on death and drop a titan shard.
Titans will run down your mid and run straight for the core. They will occasionally stop to use one attack against players if they are close and then keep moving.
Titans kill towers really fast and are tanky as hell. They have to be stopped before they deal major damage to your base.

If two Titans meet they will fight each other and ignore everything else.
The winning titans gets improved stats.


Green: The tanky one.
Heals players close by. Blocks frontal projectiles with his shield while not attacking. Buff heals. Heals allies on death.

The first titan that spawns gets a rather large shield. This was introduced to prevent the second one from winning the fight by facing an already damaged titan.
Get those first 100 points fast!

Blue: The fast one.
Runs really fast. Leaves energy on the ground. Moving over energy slows enemies and gives speed buffs to allies.
Occasionally sucks all enemies into it. Buff gives more resources and shorter cooldowns.
Sucks enemies into its corpse on death.

Red: The angry one.
Wrecks stuff. Occasionally casts area of effect skills that knock people into the air and damage by a lot. Buff gives lifesteal.
Explodes on death. Dealing damage to enemies and structures.

>The King

Stands on the rise in the river.
Casts a lot of aoe attacks. If he stands there for a second and channels, he will spam green balls. Dodge those or get feared off the platform. Gives 500 EXP to every team member and 30 Points.

>Titan Monolith

Easily soloable miniboss on the small island in the river, on the side of the King.
It is stationary and does not move.
Drops a Titan Shard.

>The Boss

Fight is inside of a closed room, at the other side of the King. Get to the door and press F to get inside.
Boss has a huge healthpool and should be fought as a group.
Skills hit hard but are somehow easy to dodge.
The boss will occasionally use a timebomb onto someone. They will explode every second and deal damage to surrounding players. Tag out to remove the timebomb.
Slaying the big boss gives 100 points (an instant titan) allowing for two titans on the field, for huge pushing power.

>River King

Each side of the river has a small fish with a rather fast respawn rate. Kill it and collect its drop to gain ultimate charge and a small heal.
Sometimes lvl 1 fights break out to get ultimates faster. Other than that just contest it whenever you can or pass by.

>Jungle
There is two types of jungle monsters. Both give buffs.
One gives regeneration to the tagged out master. The other one decreases tag cooldown by a rather large ammount.
The buffs are powerfull and the enemies give rather good exp. Take them whenever you are free.

>Altars

Altars on the sidelanes can be captured after killing the two altar watchers in front of them. There is an announcement whenever they spawn or are defeated, so you are informed when that happens.

Captured altars spawn one Fallen Hero who will push into the enemy base.
They can be crowd controlled but after every crowd controll applied they will become immune to more crowd controll for a few seconds (green super armor buff). They will run for the core, like titans do.
Fallen heros heal nearby allied players by a significant ammount, allowing for huge pushes.
They are easily dealt with if not supported, but are really dangerous if accompanied by players.

Start by playing some 3v3 matches to get used to the movement. 5v5 can be really confusing at first, so it is good to get into that gamemmode once you have the basics down.

Remember that you can jump over a lot of skills to dodge them.

Do not transform into a titan on your spawnpoint when nothing is happening. Use it to either defend against pushes that will lose you the game, secore the big boss in the room, or end games.

If you just like the PvP you can get a fully geared within a few days of playing casual playing. The PvE is pretty fun too and you need to do some if you want to unlock some master(character) without paying any real money.

It is pretty comfy. Just download the client and see for yourself.
You progress at a reasonable pace, get big rewads via easily completed weekly / monthly quests even if you only play occasionally, and you get cashshop currency just by playing the game at a reasonable pace.

you can casually do a lot of stuff. minigames (olympic type games which are fun as shit) pve stages, timespace distortion (high quality weekly pve stage) 3v3 pvp, 5v5 pvp. free weekly rotation of heroes etc
