Midlane's going to be interesting with Wraith on the roster: Gideon (and probably Howitzer) just had their ults nullified, and the Mori nerf might see her drop off a bit. Entering the age of Countess/ Gadget mid?

high plat on shitty days. Don't get me wrong, Feng is my #2 waifu behind /ourguy/ but he isn't busted and can struggle carrying. His ult can't swing big fights, whirlwind is his strongest team utility and that is mediocre, shield is good but not high impact, and teleport is awesome but using it offensively removes your escape making him kinda risky unless you are burning all your cds. I like him and he can do fucking insane damage but so can kallari and everyone hates that bitch. It is all about damage AND team utility/swings. He doesn't offer enough of that to be meta.

Is it honestly ever a good idea to build tanky in this game? I feel like damage is king no matter what and you only need a few health cards at the most on some heros.

Yes. Having a player who can take damage and continue to fight is invaluable in teamfights. These heroes can usually deal a decent amount of damage just by building some attack speed or penetration due to base damage on abilities or basic attacks.

In addition, many of the aoe active cards usually built on supports have armor or health stats.

Steel and Greystone are amazing tanks since the last update, and Jewel of The Apostle means Steel can still do a ton of damage into the bargain. Grey needs to build some damage and Radiant Mantle, but can otherwise tank with the best of them.
Sev can probably be the best tank in the game since he doesn't need to invest in damage late game thanks to his Siphon.

That would make sense if the losses were gradual and I hovered around the same Elo consistently: I rise slowly, then at some point I fall dramatically because the difference in team abilities becomes quite stark, then I rise again, etc. I'm self-aware enough to know when I'm the problem, and I try to learn from it, but I can say with no ego that I get saddled with bad teams for an extended period every month or two. Maybe it's just extremely bad luck, but the fact that it happens so often makes me think the matchmaking does it on purpose.

Khaimera is one of the simplest heroes to use(not to say that's a bad thing). As for the surrendering, yeah, I guess it does ruin the enjoyment, but when the match drags on for an hour and you know you're going to lose anyway you just want to end it rather than waste time. Surrenders happen way more rarely than they used to anyway

I guess you could call me that although I play other heroes a decent amount. He's one of my favorite though. Building tanky is so much fun, and pre-phase cc meta with thermobond felt like being a BDSM ghost.
I'm a big fan of his kit and how versatile he is, really big fan of using stab link on him for even more mobility.

He's a really satisfying hero to play as when you pull off cool stuff like

Also have had a lot of success 1v1 revenants as tankarog for some reason when I catch them in the jungle. I'll just use my ult to knock them up against a wall and then just go to town. They'll normally panic and try to run but sev has so many closers/root it's gg for them.

I love being the wall in front of my team, I'm a hardcore team player with sev, I have the health and defense for it, and the soul stacks for that ability damage, so why not right?


Its especially satisfying while laning with an especially powerful carry like twin blast or sparrow, and you just being the shield for them, and securing those kills with your ult+root combo

Why does everyone complain about the deck system, I think that having a shitload of items in one store would be too much for this specific type of MOBA
