KJ might be good with CW tech- MRMs and Ultra AC20, but it doesn't have enough missile or ballistic hardpoints to really work with SRMs, AC10s, AC5s etc. unless you want to play a pig disgusting 55kph brawler damage pinata. -0000 is probably the best of the free variants, but lost -15% missile CD which really sucks.

Seriously, urbies are so unlikely to be targeted if they're near just about anything else. Also, urbie peekgame is strong. Run a good engine, get some accel/decel if you'd like, and just repeatedly poke all game.

I like running ac10 and a backup medium on a 180xl, it's fantastic for repeat pokes because as long as you only fire the ac/10 you're real hard to track. I also recently started using uac/5 with 3 mediums and it's a pretty fun fire support mech.

For the ac/10? Two tons is plenty, and it's what I take. For the uac/5 I usually have 3 tons which seems a bit tight some games, but it's usually fine. I also run AMS with half a ton ammo, so if you need more ammo or another laser then you can tweak it to whatever you want.

I plan to use the Locust purely as a support mech, assist in capping, and doing a little anklebiting here and there when the enemy is distracted. I figured radar dep would be more useful than armor to dash behind cover to avoid LRMs/Streaks. Would I be better off using those points for armor even though it's a small boost? According to Metamechs, you want to use a mix of armor and structure on a Locust, but I'm not sure how credible that claim is.

I don't think this is true. If you have your own server I'm pretty sure you can host whatever you want. One of my servers has a lewd channel and nothing has happened to it. You may have to mark the channel as NSFW though.
