As someone who plays every role it doesn't matter too much. There is a lot of reasons why a tank can do more damage.

1 you deal aoe damage and if less people are focusing you then you get to stay in the fight longer and deal more damage. Especially if you have bad healers who only heal that one tank.

The pharrah could be getting focused and not being healed and forced to run to health packs which cut her damage down as well.

The other dps are almost never going to carry as hard as me and healing them is a waste of time imo. I don't play rein anymorr either unless I have 2 healers and one is ana or mercy. I noticed I can never do shit as rein unless those conditions are met.

As dps you just have to kill the retards on the other team faster than their good player can kill the retards on your team.

I'm not saying you're bad, in fact quite the opposite. I'm just saying it's possible you're at the SR that represents your skill level. I could be wrong, of course, but all it means you'd have to do is develop a bit more. Getting better is as simple as just playing more, getting into your groove, gradually learning new stuff passively. Always be open to learning new things.

The skill curve in this game is a lot like a staircase shape (see pic related, very crude but it makes my point). You'll have periods where it feels like you just can't improve and you're settling into your average, but then you'll have some sudden periods of improvement. This is how you get better over time. You should never feel like you're just stuck in one skill level, if you just have some perseverance you can definitely do better. I believe in you.

It's very badly designed for defense, the attack has easier access to the high ground on the second point and the structure of it makes it very easy for the attackers to win by rezzing and fragging anyone who comes out of defense, or just by the defense C9ing it because the capture point is so easy for the attackers to lock down.

All of that is so damn wrong. You need to pay attention to the fact that so much of what Reaper does contradicts with his bio. He could literally be doing anything. He may even be forced to work for Talon.

His bio states that those tracking his activities say he's killing Overwatch operatives.
Ana tracked his movements and the only Overwatch related thing he's done was Recall. Everything else has been completely Overwatch unrelated Talon ops.
His bio states he's been Reaper, the ghost, for decades.
In Old Soldiers he claims he was turned into this "thing" some time after the Swiss incident.

There is either some other Reaper and Reyes was forced to assume the identity, he's lying, or otherwise. But clearly we don't know what he's doing. It's yet to be revealed.

Orisa with 2 barriers would actually give Orisa a niche that Winston and Rein can't fulfill. It allows you to have two split teams while still managing to shield both.

If you remember early on, there was a lot of talk about Orisa being the "sniper tank", because she could shoot barriers way up at a perch for some sniper to use. Obviously, this ended up not working out all that well because you just wasted your one shield and initiation on 1 ally and left the rest for dead. Orisa wasted the offtank slot too because of just how weak the rest of her kit was.

2 barriers wouldn't be enough, Fortify would also need to be buffed in some way to provide more utility to the team.

Well honestly I think the idea of there being a bio weapon created by Talon and passed around to the highest bidder, like a mercenary, for decades is pretty fitting. Overwatch or otherwise (but Overwatch makes more sense) destroys this "Reaper" and after the Swiss incident, Talon drags Reyes away and they turn him into the new Reaper.

Or the same premise but their "Reaper" was never destroyed and after Talon captures Reyes they input his consciousness into Reaper. Why? Well Reyes knows everything about Overwatch and is a highly trained soldier good at commanding other soldiers, like the Blackwatch agents that were absorbed or joined Talon for instance.

There are multiple angles, but I would be surprised if Chu doesn't reveal there is/was more than one "Reaper".

Yeah, that really sucks. At least Sombra as a character is a hell of a lot better than she could have been. She and the junkers are probably the only ones with at least somewhat depth and likability, to me at least. As a side note, her boop thing as a subtle threat to Volskaya's daughter in her short was a moment of genius I could only wish Blizzard could ever reproduce again.
