Played Sonic Generations 3DS, really liked it, then felt guilty that I was pirating it. Same with some of the smaller indie 3DS games and other titles like Mages of Mysteria. Just kinda stopped after I got enough of a taste to know what it was like, it didn't feel right.

I did pirate pokemon though, though that has a story. We found out my friend without CFW found out he couldn't afford his copy, so taking my 40 intended for my copy, I bought his copy and then pirated mine so we could play together. I still want a copy of sun... though if Ultra Sun is just Sun ver.B then I'm glad I missed out (and will get that version instead)

nds-bootstrap can launch DS roms from the sd card, but its slower and lots of games have issues. It's improving, and being actively worked on, but it will never be as smooth and easy as a flashcart
