Was actually considering running Beruka on my "Bluewings" squad to fit the theme, even if Michalis does most of the same shit better.

If you're really dumb enough to try using Beruka as a Reinhardt counter, you'd probably want to splurge on an Emerald Axe, Guard, and Distant Counter to make sure she can pull it off. There's much better shit you can use for all of those things though, and budget Michalis is honestly a more fun build.

RD's narrative doesn't condemn her or want us to believe she's some paragon who does nothing wrong. Miccy herself recognizes that some of her actions are pretty fucking bad, but knows that they are unfortunately necessary at the time to defend her country, and she's called out by people on all sides. Also, unlike most female lords she does a lot of shit, some of it good and some shit goes wrong, but I like that. She's willing to take extreme measures when necessary. I also like how she can be sassy at times because most female lords are honestly lacking in the personality department.

Micaiah is in a weird spot imo, shes one of the few characters in FE whose gameplay role changes throughout the game, early in the game (part 1) shes a reliable mage, the most important aspect of her here is she has high hit rates averaging 95-100 (specially with sothe) even when her biorhythm is at her lowest, while Nolan, Jill, Edward, Ilyana and Zihark get scummy hit rates depending on their biorhythm, shes arguably the best horse/armor nuker early with Thani and the downs appreciate this

After she promotes her role starts going into support territory, access to staves and part 3 maps focusing on enemy laguz makes her heavy damage not be as relevant, because she isnt going to double cats, tigers or hawks anythime soon, but she can still pull off kills with her high magic to help rout enemies, specially in part 4, where she cant one round the order armors and horses anymore

In part 5 she becomes a complete support unit, she can use the restore and physic staves instead of fighting, as shes only good here if you dump a lot of Bexp for her to reach her spd cap (which is actually 36 IIRC, enough to shit on wisps)

Wrath and resolve are good on any combat unit anyway, just let her be a healer on the last part, you actually need someone to lug those staves around

That's why I mentioned Guard to interrupt the special activation. They're in the same speed bracket so she's not about to get doubled by him if they're running the same types of buffs. She can even kill him instantly with Glimmer of all things if using the QP seal to make up for not running Killer Axe+, otherwise she needs at least an offensive buff/Goad of some sort. It's an incredibly dumb anti-gimmick setup that work unbuffed for the most part, but I wouldn't recommend anyone running it though.
