What exactly is the problem with Fates' story? The consensus seems to be "it's offensively bad", and I'm honestly not about to drop money and sit through the actual game to experience it. Lots of plot holes? Bland characterization? I certainly wouldn't know how bad the story is based on critic reviews, since critics seem to like sucking the game's dick.
