Progression felt nicer in my opinion. Now whenever I create a new character it feels like a chore to reach endgame as fast as possible because everything else is piss easy. Before it was a fun journey to see what the new skill they get is like or to reach the next advancement and that got me motivated to keep playing.

I also remember that doing instances was fun because you could actually die even if you were over leveled. I soloed the lair of the evil dragon for the first time at level 40 and it was extremely hard and fun as an explorer. Now all that content is there to be chewed through because you're too strong.

This reminded me when I got invited to play Dragon Nest with some friends and we found out that they had removed harder difficulties from dungeons which meant playing with friends was boring and even playing on your own was just mindless mashing because nothing could hurt you.

You clearly didn't get to a high level since high level instances are still hard even if over leveled and geared enough. When I played again a few months ago I found that most of the instances were piss easy until Velfa Library then they started to get challenging. Once you get to Road of Flower and beyond the instance difficulty shoots up to "you need to party for this if you're not overgeared" tier.

My computer is good enough and playing from my place and my grandma's house which is closer to the server is like night and day, man. When OGP decided to switch their servers from one coast to the other I remember all the people saying it was literally unplayable since they were so used to having instant feedback.

Also one of the reasons MS back then had a huge amount of players was that many people played from all over the world. Those same players couldn't try out Latale because the delay in their movements would always be present, just ask any EUfag in this thread who played LT.

When the game was new tanking did matter as explorers and wizards were frail as fuck. Your job was to keep the monsters away from them so the things could get killed faster. They were specially important for bosses.

With Season 2 they became stronger and could stand their ground when it came to damage better than before so if you want to play a bulky class then go for it. Terror Knights are also really fun so that's another reason to make one.

You have your main classes and each one of them has a subclass that can be achieved at level 140, these subclasses have a playstyle that contrasts the main one and they are both part of the same character. subclasses and main classes have different levels and use different weapons but they can be swapped anytime you want.

So if I have a Duelist and reach level 140 then I can become a Judgement, from then on I'll have basically two different characters in one. I could level up my Duelist to 170 and become a Freischutz but my subclass would still be 140 if I never touched it. It's far more simple than I can explain but that's becuase I'm a retard with words.

4th class is amazing compared to Duelists. They redeemed the class with it after being weak and frail for so long. Now you got enough fire power and mobility options to maneuver around mobs.

When you reach level 140 on some classes you can change to their subclass. Subclasses are their own class that has a different unique weapon and different playstyle + skills than the main class. You can freely switch between your main class and subclass at any time but switching between the two has an either a 30 minute or hour long cooldown (I can't remember how long it was but it's one of those two times). Each individual 2nd job class within a main job has their own subclass, for example for Knights the Templar line becomes Terror Knight and the Guardian line becomes Psykicker. A Templar can't be a Psykicker and a Guardian can't be a Terror Knight. If you were planning on playing a specific subclass make sure you pick the main class that actually switches into that class.

The only classes that have subclasses are Warrior, Knight, Wizard, Explorer, and Engineer. Soul Breaker, Card Master, Wanderer, and Monk (Demigod) do not have subclasses.

Since subclasses are still one character some progression is shared with your main class. Here's what is shared and what isn't shared:
Shared:

>Scenario Quests
>Achievements
>Faction Reputation
>Monster Codex progress
>Item Codex progress
>Guilds

What isn't shared:
>Levels. So if you switch to a subclass at level 140, then level said subclass to 180 but decide to switch back to your main class your main class will still be level 140. Levels are kept so if you swapped back to your subclass they'd still be level 180. You basically have to level two characters if you want to play both your main class and your subclass.

>Legendary Skills progress. Getting Legendary Skills on a main class does not unlock them on the subclass and vice versa, you have to do the long questline twice.

the most common mistake people make is start making alts all over the place, which granted is tempting when your fp runs out really fast early on but what ends up happening is you just start leaving too many characters around in the 70s and never cap anything
basically pick something you think looks enjoyable, stick with it to 90 and ask yourself if it was as fun as you thought it was, why and why not and did that fun transition into actually being good at the content you tried to run
with your newfound knowledge look at the classes again and see if there's anything you'd like more

if you absolutely need more alts to pad your play time make something that easily gets into raid as an alt such a crusader or a female nen

Mslayer - Asura is really powerful, SoulBender is really good too but he's more support untill you get gear.
Fmage - battle mage is top tier damage dealer.
Mfigher - striker is top tier damage dealer.
Ffighter - nen master is top tier support but can deal damage too (but mostly support untill you get gear)
Lancer - skirmisher is alright too as far as i saw but not op.

Those would be my "overpowered shit" i suppose.

Don't make crusaders their gameplay is kind of boring.
On tuesday misstress and inquisitor will be released, they are not toppest of the tier but pretty good.

If you include a "have good amount of gear" into your "overpowered piece of shit" criteria then well, it's almost everyone...those who are not everyone are in pretty bad spot though even with good gear, but only compared to top tier classes, not compared to difficulty of content.

DT being able to do ridiculous damage while having high utility is why the class is overpowered. She excels at just about everything without having any downsides and fits into just about any party because of how much she does between the holds, the defense shred, and the passive damage amp. She's always been popular and considered strong but after Infinite they overtuned her damage and made her busted. The fact that DT basically excels at nearly anything whole barely having any flaws is why I consider the class to be overpowered.

also it's mostly a support class and requires more control (effort) than similar support classes in luke, so if you're recruiting randoms you don't want to recruit a stranger playing a class that requires you to not have a stroke while playing

if you have friends you're going to play with for endgame fgrabbpler is fine

fstriker is a pure damage dealer that doesn't hit damage cap by pressing one button with nearly zero gear so that automatically makes her shit
