Small away here, but trapping car doors does nothing, you can just press E close enough and step over it in the animation rendering it useless.

To answer your question you either have to eat the trap or burn a knife, its pretty no fun, but if people aren't afraid of comms you can protect each other doing it or you can call out when he morphs and get objectives when its burned.

Thank you, anon, I've done some more testing thanks to this vid, and what I found is some supreme bullshit.

I could reproduce the video just fine, with Jason 6 not able to hear a jogging AJ from close or from afar, so I decided to test other counselors and suddenly found that Jason was able to hear them jogging no matter where he was on the map. After some more testing I figured something out.

All Jasons have a hidden "hearing" stat that is independent of his Sense ability. Jason 6 and 3 have really shitty sound perception and trying to reproduce that video using them will wield the same results as seen in the video. However Part 7 Jason has amazing hearing abilities, and trying to reproduce that video with him will lead to him constantly hearing AJ if she jogs. This is a completely hidden stat that is independent of Sense because both Jason 6 and 7 has a Sense bonus, yet one hears everything while the other is practically deaf.

Its actually pretty fucking bullshit that this isn't explained anywhere, and the reason why I was confused before is because I always use Jason 7 for testing purposes because he looks the best.

I think there are two things wrong with this line of thinking.

1. they control the exp values anyway if they wanted a pointless grind to be longer, they can alter how exp is awarded or make levels harder to get, they could probably do the latter without even telling you.

literally there's no reason you can't double the exp gain for everything you do already in game and have people earn the similar rate they are now. literally no reason to give a conditional 500 exp if you aren't forcing people to stay.

Other objectives all doubled

New Line Cinema acquired the rights to the Jason Voorhees character after Friday the 13th part VIII: Jason takes Manhattan finally did what Paramount had been wanting the series to do all along.. not make enough profit to make it worth continuing the series. I mean they'd been trying to kill the series multiple times but it just was so cheap to make and made good money.

So they sold the rights to Jason Voorhees to New Line. However they did NOT get the rights for "Friday the 13th".

That is why New Line F13 films are NOT called Friday the 13th Part whatever. They're called "Jason goes to Hell, the Friday", and "Jason X" and "Freddy vs Jason".

The 2009 remake was a deal struck between both New Line and Paramount, which is why it has the Friday the 13th name.

Because the character and film series and logo have different rights holders, it's making it difficult to acquire the rights to things, which is why they don't have the rights to FvJ and the 2009 reboot.

With the mention of FvJ, I read a neat thing the other day pointing out why (In their thought) Jason is probably the most liked-as-a-character slasher icon and also as to why in so many of the scripts they had for FvJ he was given practically a hero role in most of them.

At one bit it pretty much summed up to think of the big guys, Michael Myers, Freddy and Jason. Myers was a warped person (And afflicted by a dumb druid curse - thanks Halloween 6), Freddy even before becoming a monster was a child killer/molester, Jason was just a deformed/disabled kid who died thanks to shitheads not caring about him. Out of them he's by far the most sympathetic character even if he obviously went on to become a big unstoppable force vengeance zombie.

There was more to it than that as well but I'm having trouble finding the damn thing again.

They wanted to kill off the series in part 4, hence "the Final Chapter" partly because the Producer wasn't able to find work producing any non horror films because his name was associated with Friday the 13th. Now one of the reasons that Paramount separated the rights to the character and the Friday the 13th brand was because they produced a horror TV show, Friday the 13th, the Series. From AJ's there are a few different types. There's the bad ones who hide all match, the mediocre ones that do prep escape routes but usually escape by themselves although occasionally they will flashlight signal someone nearby them (so as to not alert someone over walkie talkie) while they have the keys to the car .... they'll take the 2 seater with just 1 other person, they always feel safer doing the boat or 2 seater. Those are okay.

.. the last type of AJ player, the pro AJ players are like the Pro Chads, they're objective oriented and would maybe play a Deb but they feel confident in their ability to do the skill checks with less repair and want the safety of higher stealth and composure because they're solo queuing. These AJ's are usually the people who go for the sweater, and help the team fix up the 4 seater or they call the cops or help a Deb or Lechappa do it. They talk on mic and are pretty good. They're the least common AJ though. I find the second type to be most common.

Debs are usually team players, they just don't have as much faith in their skill checks so they want higher repair, or they're like the second type of AJ's and fix 2 person escapes and get the fuck out with another person. They are usually helpful to the team because they will go and put in repair parts for multiple routes if they find parts even if they're planning on using the boat. Lechappas are just Debs who refuse to play a female character or they want to be meme lords and roleplay.

Jennys are the female Kenny with a few exceptions that are team players.

Tiffanies are like the rare fed ex Vanessas, they're usually alright.

it depends. If Tommy is given to a person who has already died, that's 200xp they haven't gotten yet. Ideally if I get Tommy after dying, and the cops have arrived, I stay near the exit, wait for Jason to show up or look for someone obviously sprinting towards the cops probably with Jason in tow, quickscope Jason and then leave to get some good quick xp.

However if I have already escaped and get Tommy, I go for stunning Jason in as many ways as possible and I don't even look to escape, I already got my escape xp so let's fuck up Jason and maybe help some others in the process. That rifle shot is like a free 150 xp, then you get a melee weapon, or a flare gun, then the other, hopefully get some firecrackers, etc.

Simple, make it so that even while blocking you have a chance to get stunned and take damage. Part 2 and part 6 are supposed to have lower block chance but I don't see any evidence of it.

One of my biggest gripes about the game is that getting picked to be Jason has odds so low it would be illegal in Vegas. They should go away from being purely random selections (and lets be honest it is purely random, everybody has preference set to Jason) to a system that increases your chances of being Jason in relation to how many consecutive, played to completion councilor games you have played in a row.

That and they should have made the retro Jason be the 2D sprite from the NES game rather then a pallet swap of part 3. It probably wouldn't mesh well with the animations and other stuff but that's half the fun.

Nonsense. He has terrible strengths. When sense is your best strength, you know you are fucked. His weaknesses are debilitating. He is the only Jason that cannot run AND is bad at shifting. Most of the walking Jasons are great at shifting, with only part 8 being neutral. On top of that, he has fewer traps than most Jasons. So he is the worst Jason at chasing, and he can barely trap the objectives so he sucks at objective denial as well. There's nothing part 7 does well and his weaknesses are probably the 3 most crippling weaknesses in the game all combined together into one clusterfuck.
