It seems crits definitely knock back to me, at least.

The code mentions knockback buffs, which I assume correlate to the Push buffs we have in the spreadsheet, so I need to investigate more. The code uses weight/footing and only has variables for weight/footing in the card data, so push is not a card stat at least.

So is the new SR Sonoko any better than her other SRs

What makes the new SSR good? Deciding if I should roll since I have all the SSR minus the new ones.

So looking at the code, I need two verification in two theories:
1) Double attack was actually dummied out. There's flag for double attack and code to do it, but the flag is never set to true.

2) It seems if you sandwich an enemy between two yuushas there's a damage reduction on the enemy proportional to the non-attacking yuusha's weight stat. So I'd like somebody to attack with, say, Fuu with/without Yuuna behind the vertex.
I assume this is so enemies don't die too fast if funneled into killboxes. This also would increase the value of Chikage and Itsuki since diagonal attacks mean they're not being counted for this calculation. (Details in the spreadsheet)

So Natsume seems to be a good sub or leader for crit characters like Fuu and Sekka. Since crit not only feels gauge it gives a .1 attack boost which refreshes as you continue critting. She also currently has the highest Edps and a strong active that boost pair crit,

Takashima has a universal 20% atk leader skill which will generally always be useful when you have to rainbow it up and she has universal recovery as her passive. She will be filling a tank role similar to sonoko

Genuinely took me by surprise and easily the saddest deaths in NoWaYu

It feels kind of weird that the NoWaYus can fight alongside the divine era yuushas in this game, just considering the jump in power from NoWaYu to WaSuYu. I mean, Sonoko blocks several hits from Scorpio-kun and jokes about it during, but Tama takes a couple hits to the shield from him and her legs are fucking broken. Plus it took Shuten-Doji to even scratch the thing

Is there some good way to make your yuushas focus on the boss? I often miss my 3* because the melee fighters stand around doing nothing or decide to attack random other Vertexes even when they're in range of the boss. Especially the yuushas diagonally to the sides of an incoming boss stay idle for some time even if they could already attack.

Made a mistake: The weight thing is for crit rate.
If I interpreted things correctly, if you put a light yuusha like Chikage behind the vertex, the attacker yuusha should crit more often.
Conversely, if you put a heavy yuusha like Yuuna behind the vertex, the attacker yuusha would crit less often. I'm guessing the neutral value is 1000, which would correspond to the edge of B+/A-.

Really? For me, that's probably the reason why I liked it. The whole time it felt like a truly desperate struggle (or at least from Tama and Anzu's deaths onward) and it was a pretty gripping read because of that. The darker tone made for some interesting character arcs too, like Gun-chan's

I think Takashima's blaze of glory at the end might be one of my favorite scenes in the franchise, too

Still not entirely convinced. SSR Sonoko's hissatsu provides utterly insane damage cut, unless someone translated it wrong on the doc. Whenever I've used it, I've always taken 1 damage from virtually everything during those 7 seconds. That shouldn't happen if it was % based.

The shields on Leo Starcluster only come up once its HP bar gets to about 1/5. So theoretically, you only need 5 hissatsu to beat it. So try not to fire them off until you really need them.

I had a similar set up to >>180496715 with two ranged support and one melee/tank. SSR Karin is great for whittling down HP if you have one. SSR Wakaba could be useful as well since her cooldown time is only 10s.

As for support, use an Anzu or other ranged support for your friend. This is where whale friends come in handy, as a level 70+ Tougou can greatly increase your chances of 3* the level.

This is actually the deaths which hit me in the franchise. There was always this palpable feeling of futility, but both of them got no choice but to continue to believe and fight on. In hindsight Tama could have escaped by herself since Anzu's death was a given and foreseen by everyone granted how weak she is, but I'm glad they let them went out together.

I will save my blessing for Tama and Anzu SSR.

As far as I could tell from the code yesterday, knockback is guaranteed on a crit and won't happen otherwise.
However, higher Footing/Stability/Weight/Anti-Knockback/however you want to call it reduces the chances of getting critted as long as your yuushas are in formation. (Crit mitigation scales to how many yuushas are in the direction they'd be knocked back from the hit) (diagonals count as up/down)

I didn't have any problems with it. I recommend using two tanky melees, a SSR Wakaba friend/guest and some gauge restore mechanic like Natsume/Takashima/Suiko so that you can lock down all lanes and spam cheap hissatsus whenever the trash Vertex get too much to handle. The boss itself dies to anything.

I don't know how good that birthday Karin is since I haven't tried her yet, but I fared pretty well with an SR Wakaba leader and SSR Karin support, maybe you should try it that way. No matter what, definitely go for the chapter bonus pair.
The rest of the team I use to farm it is probably roughly the same as yours:
SR LN cover Sonoko with SSR Foo as a stat stick to tank stuff and hold the door. Also with a fairy that gives +1 gauge at the start of the battle to deal with early chargers.
SSR Tougou with some other good ranged unit for rear support, although I feel like she's actually pretty useless and could be replaced by something else. No idea what though.
A high level SSR Wakaba as a friend for that sweet gauge fill at the start and more cheap hissatsus.

General tactic I used for E3-4H is to lock down the lanes with Sonoko and the friend Wakaba, let Tougou support withever lane is under the most pressure and keep my own Wakaba as a mobile crit machine in the front to intercept small fries and hissatsu spam the annoying ones.

The E3-4H boss has very low HP, that one should be no problem at all.

The E3-5H boss does have huge HP and apparently a shield (probably not a very strong one since my Wakaba/Karin combo can easily punch through it), but you have more than a minute to kill it if you crit decently. That should be enough time to land plenty of hissatsus on it.

All I had to do was make Bakaba main instead of Karin, since there are a lot more Red enemies in the level than there are yellows.
I almost 3-starred it too if it weren't for a last minute swarm that showed up right after I missed my hissatsu.

I did it.
And it's all thanks to you. Your advice put me on the right track, all I had to do was make some minor adjustments.
I used a Sonoko friend for 3-4 because it has way more yellows, also using Bakaba's hissatsu asap is essential because you want her insane Attack speed buff. Enemies couldn't even do anything to her because they were stunlocked to death, the real problem was trying to keep the Sonokos alive.
Sometimes it's also better to just ignore a single attacker that slipped by and let Anzu snipe it from afar if she could, otherwise a single hit on Shinju-sama is nothing.
I also switched Tougou for SR Sumi because her cheap hissatsu and superior movement speed proved invaluable for dealing with swarms that show up out of nowhere.

All in all, it felt desperate at first, but experimenting with different stuff lead to success. This game is growing on me more and more every day.

Karin is actually pretty sturdy, both of them together can easily take those charger swarms right into their face and kill them before they deal significant damage. Wakaba+Karin in a color advantaged stage is basically the best pair you could ever ask for, there is no reason not to use them.

I got all the points simply by getting the usual 3* on every stage. It's not even like you need to grind for them or anything.

Pretty sure it's 170k for now, so it's basically done after a full playthrough of the event, it's like they want us to grind for yuushas/fairies desperately.

ShiUYu on normal is already harder than anything both events had. Just clearing the last stage was hell already.
How is it going to be on hard? Will we need a full 99 team, +1-4, with really good fairies?

I'm in a similar position now. There are a few more 3* that I could get, but they're probably already done tomorrow evening.
Seems like the only options are the occasional daily and to farm Rs and fairies during events.

That's loser's talk. You can 3* those other maps, you just need perseverance, an optimal strategy and crit luck. Unless you've done everything except ShiUYu because it's impossible.

Same here, all remaining stages would take so much time and effort to 3* right now that I'd rather wait until my yuushas are stronger. I guess I can finally focus on catching up with the season and translating the events now.

Itsuki can give you bonus EXP as well, it just shows up as the standard udon because Itsuki not fucking it up is the "great" result. It's actually kind of funny.
