Depends on who your opponent is, how much you'll be able to transfer into round two and round three, and even how far you're into the round 1. Same for your opponent. Try to imagine what you'll be doing next and how much of an upper hand you'll be able to acquire over the enemy if you win the first round.
As a rule of thumb, 1 card disadvantage is an okay price, but it's really more about individual situations.

I had almost the exact same deck until yesterday, but I finally crafted Ithlinne and Zoltan.

The rest of the deck is pretty much the same as yours, I have Gigni and Saskia as my other two golds. I would suggest swapping out Decoy for ADC if you have it

Babyraged after losing to a deck with some good Golds (I think gigini was one of em) and said 'fuck it', just milled every skelliege card I had. It was enough to craft a few golds and silvers and I've been having a blast ever since.

Been playing for a couple days and defeated all of the Challenge AI opponents and have ventured into Friendly Matches and they're...frustrating.
Right as the game starts I am playing against people who have a TON of cards and just went up against someone who had a bunch of minions with armor that buff one another each turn and that snowballs out of control.
Since you can't really interact in minion combat with one another it's pretty lame knowing that because my deck isn't teched against an armor deck I auto lose.

With a dwarf deck, you want to fill the board full of units anyway, so Saesenthesis is just kind of taking advantage of something you were already going to do. It is true that she's a bad draw in round 2 and 3, but so is Saskia, Elven Wardancers, Cammandos, etc.

Why did they make Philippa sound like a whiny pre-teen? I always got the sense from the books that she was one of the older and wiser sorceresses. Maybe it's the owl thing.

I crafted it and spent hours making a movement deck. I tried weather. I tried firebombs. I tried Sheldon. I tried everything. It's god-awful. Even when Iorveth's power is triggering you basically end up making 5 or 6 power units effectively 7 or 8 power, which means you get shit on by every other faction anyway except arguably NR, who shit on you anyway because their synergies at least aren't as retarded.

I really wanted to make it work but it's too shit and depressed me so much that I'm losing the will to play. I'm kind of losing it anyway but the incredible shitshow of movement didn't help.

Thinking of quitting this game. I have 6300 scraps from not crafting anything. Been building all my decks organicqlly but have hit a wall climbing the ladder.

Most of the OP shit I play against are so difficult to counter or require cards I don't have. And all the netdecks out there use golds that I conveniently have never seen in kegs. At this point I don't even know if it's worth crafting a Skellige Axeman deck to climb the ladder since it's presumably more difficult now and I'd be playing against a hundred other players doing the same thing.

Iorveth with Malena amuses me, but after a couple of weeks I knowmsee the limitations that Move ST just can't move (heh) past. It's fun to drop Sheldon and then Zoltan on 3 Commandoes, but there just isn't enough synergy going on in the deck.

I've been looking at Reveal NG because that looks like a lot of fun, but I'm not sure how to build it. Obviously you want Spotters and Apothecaries, + the reveal leader, but apart from that, I'm unclear. Most of the Golds and Silvers seem decent and I can't decide whether the deck still needs some kind of spy engine or not.

That design is ass backwards. You want to play the bear early to get full value out of every card your opponent plays but if you do you are missing out on the 2 damage ETB trigger.

It's feels bad if you play early and feels bad if you later. Just drop the bear to 5 and be done with it, nobody ran bear prepatch because of its value proposition, it was a tech card against 70% of the high ladder that was NG.
