Body sliders for sure. If you use a variant body as an override it prevents the card from ever using props in the poser. Might not sound like a big deal now, but as props get bigger that's going to become a more obvious annoyance.

The TT&A mod includes the numbers for the sliders, too, even though they're called different things, so you can always get back your old sizes.

Alright, already having an error, windows 10, I've changed system locale and region format to japanese.

I downloaded the pre-installed game from the op, unzipped, did the few things from the manual like installing the two vc_redists, replacing the d3d9.dll's for the windows 10 versions and downloaded the recommended alternative translation for windows 10 as well as updating the translations.txt from the homepage. Now I'm trying to launch the maker, using AA2TranslationLoader.exe, AA2Edit.exe, or RunAA2Edit.bat but they all start to mess up as soon as I click to create a new character.

What am I missing?

On Windows 10 OS which is version 1607 (AKA Anniversary Edition) or higher, it is necessary to add d3d9.dll files found here into both the Maker and Play directories, overwriting the existing one in the maker directory. This will break maker translation, so a different method of translation is required for maker.
Failure to do this will result in your game running at extremely low frame rate.

Okay I've seen this graphical glitch shit before.
Full disclosure, the package with replacement DLLs is in the manual because it's in the OP. I have no idea if it works or not. I've seen a few people complaining about it not working before and causing graphical glitches, but my assumption has been that they are doing something wrong because their number has been extremely small. It's certainly not in the manual because it works. For most people or otherwise. I have absolutely no clue because I don't use it.

In theory, they should be using my dll, which originates from my 64 bit Windows 10 and there is no reason why it shouldn't work, but try this for size:

You cannot extract files from a modcard if you have them. You need to find her hair texture file in your override folder, delete it, and then extract the modcard again. You can also temporarily void your whole override folder by renaming it, extract the modcard, then put the newly extracted files into your original override file before renaming it back.

A way to tell if aau worked is run the aau exe with nothing open and then youll get an error message that says it cant find anything. Then start AA2play and at the launch window hit retry on your aau window and then if it doesnt pop anything else up afterwards it worked. Another easy way to check is to enable the poser in the AAU config then anytime you load a high-poly model the poser window will popup

Confirming that neither of the cards is a modcard. You snowflaked the one that doesn't look like her (the non-modcard one at least looks accurate to the hair color), and you didn't include any files in either of them. When you save you need to have "Save Override Files" checked in the general AAU tab.

You have to use translation loader no matter what if you replace d3d9.dll.

That's not really relevant to the dll working or not, I don't know why it doesn't work. It should probably be replaced with the one sourced from dongfire or from Illusion website in the file linked in OP though, if that works more reliably.

Ohhhhh, I think I understand the source of your confusion. Your "non-modcard" is a non-AAU card. This is not the same as a non-modcard.

Modcards are AAU cards that contain the override files necessary for the card to work. They extract the data on preview in the maker, and tend to be massive in file size compared to standard cards' 100kb (as expected).
Non-modcards USE all those same AAU assets above, but are not PACKAGED with them. This way you can drop the non-modcard into your classes without bloating up your save file size and killing your game.
Cards that do not use AAU are just called "cards" or "normal cards." They have no AAU assets or functions and work in the vanilla game.

From the file sizes it looks like you got the modcard right this time, but you should go 1 step further and include the actual non-modcard (the one you were calling "modcard" before).

Ignoring the normal card because there's no reason to include that at all - tell people to get AAU and open their minds - the non modcard is the one you want to include in classes since it isn't 5MB and won't have any adverse effects on a save file.
AAU has a feature to demod a card, but it only works if the extract HAPPENS. Since I already have your files, she will not extract anything for me ever and no nonmodcard will ever be created by the process. If you include a non-modcard of your own, there's no risk of the user having to go through a hassle to demod your card before they can use it.

This is my current modcard/nonmodcard style. Modcards get plain, automated AAFace card faces. They only exist to extract the mods and be discarded or cataloged by packrats like myself. The snowflaked ones are the nonmodcards, designed to be pretty and used in the game.

Correct, it's what you had before. That checkbox unchecked. Your previous releases were a nonmodcard and a normal card. What you should be sharing are a modcard (unsnowflaked, box checked) and a nonmodcard (snowflaked, box unchecked).
