You can run straight from a walking monster, it will still be in front of you.

Zombie Jason's can catch lechappas and Jenny's, without even wounding them once their stamina is gone, Running Jasons can additionally catch AJ, Deb, Adam and Kenny I guess, but I think Tiffany also outjogs a Part 3 or part 2 Jason even without stamina. By the time you notice you're at the phone box it's too late. Jasons take about 5 seconds to morph to the phone.

If I find out I spawned at the phone I just leave game at this point, trying to run from cabin to cabin with empty hands and empty pocket while Jason beats the door down before you can even get them both barricaded ( because of how early in the game is most the cabins won't be secured yet) not having any time to look for items and you just crash through windows and run for your life until the windows cut you up too much or Jason gets shift.

Whenever I'm jason I always fuck up the phone house, it always makes the hiding counselor squeak, besides, you get sense like 60s into the match total, it's pretty much up before you get your morph cooldown back up so it's always worth waiting to pop on the phone cabin. besides, softening up the cabin means it's easier to prevent the cops from being called if they do disarm your traps.

But about 60% of the time a counselor spawns there. Now I won't commit to tunneling someone if they flee, but if they try to hide, they're going to die.

The leveling is faster in DbD, but you're leveling for perks. In F13 you're leveling for clothes and it becomes all about rolling for perks past level 31.

The main issue with DbD is that every character's level is separate and you're forced to grind through 9 levels, most of which will be bullshit, for every character you level up thanks to the teachable perk system. I never ended up with a killer with all the perks I wanted.

Perks aren't tied to level, they are tied to CP. Whenever you become pretty satisfied with your perk selection is up to RNG. I had most of what I wanted by level 40 or so, with only a few perks being missing. Not all of them were epic, but they were good enough.
