The incantations in Dies irae are meant to be all flowery and referential on purpose. The story makes a big deal about how the whole thing is an opera and how each of the characters are actors within it playing out a role, and the way the chants are used are meant to reflect this theme.

This is made extremely clear when there's shit like the Atziluth chant in the Ren vs Reinhard fight at the end of Marie's route. The actors are reciting their incantations as if they are reading lines off of a script.

It certainly is getting better and better. The glasses clingy chick was so annoying in the first part. She looks like a nerd, but cannot handle a candle next to Erika's wheelchair's turbogeekness. She only cares about her Suou fuckhole and her tea parties to the point of insanity.
Second part is an overall improvement and I loved the whole theater and ballet scenes in it. Erika is overall a better character than both Rikka and Suou, although Suou has her moments. Erika has no problems driving the story single handed.
Third part is the best because of Yuzuriha. She simply is the top girl. She doesn't need obscure literary quotes or behave like a cheeky bitch. She's all sunshine. So energetic and lively. She's like a younger version of the nun, but under amphetamine od.
The weakest part is with the writing. The author is trying too hard and it shows. Many jokes about Dies irae, but Flowers has a notable usage of kanji and difficult words abuse. Many convoluted sentences in nested relatives. The worst part is, while it has the whole Showa era feeling, many quotes (they aren't obscure per se, but their purpose is to make it recondite) are or feel like anachronisms; this gets under my skin.

The main scenario writer of Dies Irae. It's very good, the common route (first 6-10h) is free on steam so you can just download it and give it a shot without taking any risks. It's worth it. The basic plot is about a bunch of lunatic nazis becoming immortal through a ceremony on the day Berlin fell and then mysteriously showing up again 60 years later to perform a ritual in the city of the protagonist. It's full of cool fights and psychology

Finished Koirizo, just in time for Libra it looks like

Umi>Shiori>Nagisa>Sango>Riho

Umi and Shiori's routes are what I look for in a moege in terms of romance/drama ratio. Umi slightly wins out more in this regard cause I like her more but Shiori's was pretty good. Nagisa I thought was going to be the best and she's definitely okay but her route seemed to be sort of repetitive in it's first part. Though once MC and her get together, it's a straight ride to cute town. Sango's route has that thing where when it's just MC and her, it's cute, but when it's not, it's being boring. It has that issue when the route is too focused on another character than her. Riho's actually pissed me off. It's an ur-example of "I don't what to write for this character because we want her for the hardcore H-scenes and nothing else", holy shit the drama in Riho's route is retarded.
