SCHs are being overdramatic. Their dps is only slighter weaker than WHM and they no longer have the infinite mp that they had back on 2.x and 3.x so they can't do the fuck they want anymore.

Most arguments i see that people are dropping sch its because they feel SCH is no longer fun, or better, they finally realized dot dps is as fun as watching paint dry.

In my own opinion, the fairy gauge thing is dumb and the range is way too small. When every boss has giant fuck off mechanics that are arena wide, it makes the fairy feel shitty and gimmicky. I can deal with the broil spam, but the lack of aoe dps makes dungeons feel so boring and sluggish. I really do hate fey union and I feel like it needs to be redone. Not to mention it's not ogcd and if the target runs out of range, it doesn't end the channel. It just keeps depleting.

Pretty much, Plenary is nice to have that's for certain but it's not something that can be reliably used. Lilly system overall is plain meh, sometimes works sometimes it doesn't. It's not worth to be focusing on it too much anyways.

I'm more mad that it's just less fun to play. It was already toeing the line in terms of boredom imo, I think it was really only engaging when you have to set up a ton of mitigation/healing really quickly-- like cascades in A3S or that photon->bits->ww in A11 during the early weeks. Unfortunately those moments are few and far between in-game and I just spent most of my time putting up dots and spamming Broil-- now that's even more boring than it used to be somehow.

I play all the healing classes, so I just switched to WHM it's not a big deal. I suspect Chain Strat still might make scholar better (for the group) on paper in a single target fight, but I'm not in a high-end group and fuck playing it anywhere else.
